The Machine Emulator provides a general-purpose framework
for computer emulation. Right now it can emulate Sun 2/120,
3/150 and SPARCstation 2 (4/75).
TuxNES is an emulator for the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System.
Currently, the emulator has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD and NetBSD,
all running on x86 processors.
Provides effective control of virtual machines of VirtualBox
on a FreeBSD headless server, published as free and open source
software.
Virtual Game Boy is the Nintendo GameBoy(tm) emulator on X-Window.
Test your VGB installation with the command(default):
vgb /usr/X11R6/share/vgb/CART.GB
Virtual GameBoy (VGB) is a portable emulator of the Nintendo GameBoy
handheld videogame console. It allows to run most of GameBoy software
on a personal computer, as well as debug this software. As VGB is
written in a portable C programming language, it runs on many
different platforms and operating systems
Virtual GameBoy Advance (VGBA) is an emulator of the GameBoy Advance
videogame console produced by Nintendo. It allows to run GameBoy
Advance games on PCs, Macs, or just about any other sufficiently
fast computers in existence. It can also help to debug GameBoy
Advance software without using a costly development system. VGBA
is not a real GameBoy Advance though. Get the real thing if you
want a real experience. Also, VGBA will not play older GameBoy and
GameBoy Color games. You will need VGB for that.
VMSBACKUP reads VMS BACKUP tapes.
Main features:
- swaps bytes from big-endian to little-endian, if required.
- savesets can be selected individually.
- can preserve directory structure.
- excludes vms specific files (eg executables and objects).
- converts vms version numbering semicolons to colons.

XZX is a portable emulator of ZX Spectrum 48K/128K/+3 (8-bit home computers
made by Sir Clive Sinclair) for machines running UNIX and the X Window system.
XZX emulates either a Spectrum 48K, 128K or +3, Interface I with up to 8
microdrives, Multiface 128 (if you have the ROM image) and Kempston joystick.
XZX loads from .SNA, .Z80, .SLT, .DAT, .TAP, .TZX, .VOC, .MDR and .DSK files
and saves to .SNA, .Z80, .SLT, .TAP, .MDR, .DSK and .SCR files.
XZX will work with color (8,16,24,32bpp) and monochrome displays, where
contrasting colours are displayed with the darker colour in black and the
lighter colour in white, which works reasonably well. Halftoning is used if
the scaling factor is increased.
Xhomer is a machine emulator for the Digital Equipment Corporation
(DEC) Pro 350 computer, a PDP-11-based machine that was sold in the
early to mid-'80's. Xhomer is based on the PDP-11 CPU core from
the SIMH simulator, and is written entirely in C.
Yabause is a Sega Saturn emulator. It is written in C using the SDL and
OpenGL libraries with support for cdrom and iso files.
