Xtet42 is a one or two player version of T*tris. The game was written
by Hugo Eide Gunnarsen in 1991. The game is very fun and very
addictive. It is also astonishingly pretty to be an old X11-game.
In january 1999 I picked up the code to get rid of a few bugs and
limitations that annoyed me. I also converted the build-mechanism to
GNU autoconf.
The result is xtet42-2.21.
Trojka is a game of skill. The aim of the game is to control and place
falling blocks so that you get three patterns or colors in a row,
horizontally or diagonally. These patterns then disappear, the above
blocks collapse and you get points.

XRally is a Linux clone of the classic Rally X arcade game. For
those who don't know, in Rally X you control a blue (good) car,
that has to collect yellow flags around a maze-like map, while
avoiding the red (bad) cars. In order to help himself, the blue car
can use clouds of smoke through the maze. If a enemy touch any of
these clouds, it stops for a while. The enemy cars can also crash
one with the other, what gives you some extra time.
XRally is written in C using only the basic Xlib and Xpm libraries.
It's a project aimed mainly at newbie X11/Game programmers like me
(but any experienced help is appreciated! :) )
Xrisk is based on the boardgame Risk. It can run as server or client,
and allows up to 8 players to play at once. The object of the game
is World Conquest.

Xroach displays disgusting cockroaches on your root window. These
creepy crawlies scamper around until they find a window to hide
under. Whenever you move or iconify a window, the exposed beetles
again scamper for cover.
XVmines is a simple minesweeper game for X Window System.
xvmines creates a rectangle on the screen, divided into equally sized
cells. Each cell may contain a mine (hence the name xvmines), contain a
number indicating the number of mines present in the 8-neighboring cells
or be empty.
Initially, all cells are covered with tiles. A tile can be removed,
uncovering the cell below, by clicking the left mouse button on it. In
addition, a cell can be marked as containing a mine by clicking the
right mouse button on it. Note however that marking a cell as containing
a mine does not necessarily mean that the cell really contains a mine!
Clicking the middle mouse button on a tile, marks it with a question
mark, acting as a reminder mechanism. The user can use the numbers in
the uncovered cells to find (or sometimes guess ...) which cells contain
mines and which do not.
A game ends when all cells not containing mines have been uncovered and
all cells containing mines have been marked, or when a cell containing a
mine is uncovered.
