adapted from the Web page and the README: Spiral Synth is a physically modelled, monophonic, analogue synthesizer. It is capable of creating the kind of sounds made by hardware analogue synths, the noises used in electronic music. You can also use it to make stranger sounds. MIDI is supported, including velocity detection, mapped to the volume of the oscillators (but you can also use the PC keyboard to play the synth). Output is to /dev/dsp or in Microsoft RIFF (.WAV) format to a file. You can save and recall your sounds using the 100 patch save slots. The PC keyboard can be used to play the synth, "q" & "z" are C, and the keys progress from them: "2" is C#, "w" is D, etc. These are just the defaults, and can be changed from the .Spiralrc file. This is the Neverwinter Nights Linux based client. It runs under FreeBSD using the Linux emulation mode.

The goal of the game is to arrange twelve suits of cards, in order, onto twelve playing decks. When the game starts, one card face down and one card face up is dealt to each of the playing decks. This game is a little harder than most because a different deck of cards is used. Sounds effects are also built in.

This is a version of the popular falling-block game from the eighties which requires only Xlib to build and run.

Scavenger is like Lode Runner. You've got to run around gathering objects while avoiding enemies. You can dig down through some of the blocks to get at buried objects. After you've collected everything, ladders may appear. To finish the level you've got to exit through the top of the screen. If an enemy falls into a dug brick, he is stunned for a while. If the brick fills in with him in it, he is killed, and he will reappear at the top of the screen. This version has a level editor for designing your own levels, and a graphics editor for drawing your own artwork.
