Milter-regex is a sendmail milter plugin that allows to reject mail based on regular expressions matching SMTP envelope parameters and mail headers and body. In order to build milter-regex, sendmail needs to be compiled with milter support, installing the libmilter library. This is the default for the sendmail in the base system. Some of the sendmail ports omit libmilter by default (SENDMAIL_WITHOUT_MILTER). This program is developed on OpenBSD by the maintainer. LICENSE: BSD Copyright (c) 2003-2006 Daniel Hartmeier

hostapd is a user space daemon for access point and authentication servers. It implements IEEE 802.11 access point management, IEEE 802.1X/WPA/WPA2/EAP Authenticators, RADIUS client, EAP server, and RADIUS authentication server. The current version supports Linux (Host AP, madwifi, mac80211-based drivers) and FreeBSD (net80211). To use the ports version instead of the base, add: hostapd_program="/usr/local/sbin/hostapd" to /etc/rc.conf

Xinetd is a replacement for inetd, the internet services daemon. Xinetd is not just an inetd replacement. Anybody can use it to start servers that don't require privileged ports because xinetd does not require that the services in its configuration file be listed in /etc/services. Its configuration file has a different format than inetd's one and it understands different signals. However the signal-to-action assignment can be changed.

This add-on module allows the apache web server to use a MySQL database for user and/or group authentication. For large user lists this can offer a significate speed up over apache's standard flat file format. There is a different version of mod_auth_mysql in the ports tree with different configuration. Unfortunatly this version has a bug if used on a system which has more than one authentification databases. You may have to look which version fits your requirements.

Terminus Font is designed for long (8 and more hours per day) work with computers. Version 4.11 contains 594 characters, covering code pages ISO8859-1/2/5/9/13/15/16, Windows-1250/1251/1252/1254/1257, IBM-437/852/855/866, KOI8-R/U/E/F, Bulgarian-MIK, Paratype-PT154/PT254, Macintosh-Ukrainian and Esperanto, and also the vt100 and xterm pseudographic characters. Note: This ports also installed a slanted version of the terminus font, contributed by "Sascha Blank" <sblank@tiscali.de> which is NOT in the original release.

Synth is a custom packge repository builder for FreeBSD and DragonFly. It is intended to replace Portmaster, portupgrade, and poudriere for the average user. It is simple to learn (the powerful options are limited in number) and user-friendly, but it is extremely fast due to its parallel building capability. It will "drop-in" on any system as it leverages the stock pkg(8) facilities. All ports are built in a clean environment, so it is finally safe to build ports as needed on a live system. The default profile is the system itself, not a new jail, which can be a valuable feature for some environments. To bring a system up-to-date only requires one command after the ports tree is updated: > synth upgrade-system During the building process, a curses-based display will show the status of all the builders and the entire bulk run process. Synth is intended to be grasped and utilized by novice users within minutes, but offers most of the same powerful features as Poudriere for the power users. Synth requires no preparation; it works immediately upon installation.
