hmconv-1.0pl3
-------------
hmconv is Korean code conversion utility for especially for E-mail.
It can convert between KS C 5601 and ISO-2022-KR.
Original version is by Jungshik Shin <jshin@minerva.cis.yale.edu>.
Wrapper for Mail.Ru simple network protocol IProto. Support 2 modes: block via
Ruby's TCPSocket and non block via EventMachine with fiblers. Wrapper used in
Tarantool ruby client and private libs.
MHonArc can process mail messages to create a set of indexed html pages.
Threaded and chronological indices can be generated, and messages can be added
incrementally to an existing archive. A `standalone' mode is also supported
for quick conversions of individual messages to HTML without adding them to
the index. MIME attachments in mail messages are handled. MHTML is
also supported.
The program is highly customizable and is well documented. See URL
for more information.
Daemon to rotate, compress, remove and mail system log files.
I try to make it work just like /usr/sbin/newsyslog.
With logrotate, you can mail syslog and execute command
before or after logrotate.
twitmail is a curses-based mail-like interface to twitter. It also can be
used as a command line app for sending and receiving tweets. In both modes
it remembers the last thing you read and only shows you newer posts (ie, it
reports nothing when you have no updates to read). It'll collect all the
new posts as well (up to a configurable limit), to ensure you haven't
missed anything important.
Evolution-data-server provides the various backend components for the
Evolution integrated mail/PIM suite, including the Berkeley database
backend and the libical calendar components.
pxytest is a command line utility to test a host for open proxies
that are vulnerable to spammer abuse. It is written in perl.
Unsecured proxies currently are the most significant conduit of
junk email. This is a particularly vexing problem, because open
proxies, unlike open mail relays, hide the origin of the spam,
making it impossible to trace. This utility tests a host to
see if it is vulnerable to such abuse.
See http://www.unicom.com/sw/pxytest for more information.
pxytest was written by Chip Rosenthal.
XMMS plugin, that plays a sound on incoming mail and opens the MUA
From the man page:
The mimencode program simply converts a byte stream into (or out of) one of
the standard mail encoding formats defined by MIME, the proposed standard
for internet multimedia mail formats. Such an encoding is necessary
because binary data cannot be sent through the mail. The encodings under-
stood by mimencode are preferable to the use of the uuencode/uudecode pro-
grams, for use in mail, in several respects that were important to the
authors of MIME.
Mmencode is part of metamail, and can be installed as part of that package.
It is provided here as an independent package since some programs require
mmencode only and hence you can avoid having to install the entire metalmail
package when not required.
