GNOME Clipboard Daemon is a program that keeps the content of your X clipboard in memory, so the clipboard will not get lost even after you close the application from which you copied. It is a daemon - it has no GUI. You start it and it will run in the background and Just Work(tm). Example: 1. Start AbiWord. 2. Type in 'hello world'. Select everything and click Copy. 3. Close AbiWord. 4. Start gedit. 5. Click Paste. Normally nothing will happen. But if GNOME Clipboard Daemon is running, pasting will work.

SDR-J (formerly Jsdr) is a suite of four programs provided under a LGPL open source license for playing around with sdr (software defined radio). The software can be used directly with the PM-SDR kit and RTL2832U based dongles, and in the 32 bits Windows version with other kits as well. The suite contains four programs: - a full blown "short wave" receiver, which provides tuning in the range of 100K .. 165M using the PM-SDR (although above 55 M with reduced performance) and from app 55 MHz to app 900 Mhz or above using an RTL2832U based dongle. The receiver provides quite a number of decoders for amateur modes. - am/fm receiver covering the same frequency bands as the sw receiver, however, with am bandwidths selectable, with fm mono and stereo decoding as well as with rds decoding. - spectrum viewer for use with the RTL2832U based dongles, showing spectra of up to 3 Mhz bandwidth. - mini receiver, a stripped version of the fm receiver, a gadget for listening to WFM using DAB sticks.

This program draws the Solar System's bodies in simulated 3-dimensionality. You can view all the planets, their moons and a few spaceships in motion, trace them, follow them, orbit them, and even control them. OpenUniverse was formerly known as Solar System Simulator (Ssystem). It was initially released in 1997 with the intent of creating a rotating display of the Earth on a mainstream PC. Ssystem version 1.0 was only aware of the planets. Version 1.2 added moons; and 1.6, more means of movement and better textures. The program has been renamed OpenUniverse 1.0 to underline the concept behind its further development: openness for the whole Universe, not just the solar system -- open for anyone to use, extend, and change.

MP3Info is a little utility used to read and modify the ID3 tags of MP3 files. MP3Info can also display various techincal aspects of an MP3 file including playing time, bit-rate, sampling frequency and other attributes in a pre-defined or user-specifiable output format.
