Ghostscript is the well-known PostScript interpreter which is available for all common and most esoteric platforms and supports many different printers and some displays. This is distributed with the GNU General Public License, which allows free use, and free copying and redistribution under certain conditions (including, in some cases, commercial distribution). xcwcp: a CW tutor program for X Window environment. It offers the same random and keyboard sending as comms/cwcp, and in addition can read CW that sent to it using the keyboard or mouse as a keyer, making it useful for sending as well as receiving practice.

XmAddressbook is a X11/Motif based address book program. It allows the user to enter addressbook type information. It saves its data in a text file. It can output the addressbook in Postscript. It also has a Curses interface for searching and viewing the address book.

asedit is an easy to use text editor for X Window System built around Motif Text widget. Version 1.3, international free Release, includes the following language versions: English, Dutch, French, German, Polish, Portuguese and Swedish. All commands and messages are localized for each language. The on-line help is available only in English. This port requires Motif to build.

xmille - X window mille bourne game Xmille brings up a window for a mille bourne game. When selecting one of your cards, the left button plays the card, the right button discards the card and the middle button chooses whichever is appropriate, first trying to play the card, and then discarding it

Xmountains is a X11 based fractal landscape generator. It generates random fractal surfaces and displays them in a window. While the program is running the fractal is continuously extended on the right and the image is scrolled from right to left to expose the newly generated area.

Xdvik is a program for displaying DVI files (generated e.g. by Troff or TeX) on the X window system. It is based on the regular (non-k) xdvi of the same version number. This package includes pTeX support. A fontmap file for xdvi is installed as TEXMFDIST/fonts/map/xdvi/xdvi-ptex.map.

xvkbd is a virtual (graphical) keyboard program for X Window System which provides facility to enter characters onto other clients (softwares) by clicking on a keyboard displayed on the screen. This may be used for systems without a hardware keyboard such as kiosk terminals or handheld devices. This program also has facility to send characters specified as the command line option to another client.

This is abacus for X Window System. Essentially, this is a proof by induction that a computer is more powerful than an abacus, since a computer program can contain an abacus. (But then again, you can simulate a computer within a computer, so what does that show). Actually, with a real abacus, one can move more than one row at a time with 10 fingers. But on the other hand, a real abacus does not have the current sum displayed as an integer.

PCB is an interactive printed circuit board editor for the X11 window system. PCB includes a rats nest feature, design rule checking, and can provide industry standard RS-274-X (Gerber), NC drill, and centroid data (X-Y data) output for use in the board fabrication and assembly process. PCB offers high end features such as an autorouter and trace optimizer which can tremendously reduce layout time.
