Ruby/Google offers a higher-level abstraction of Google's new
SOAP-driven Web API. It allows you to programmatically query the
Google search-engine from the comfort of your favourite programming
language.
The aim of the library is to make the details of the raw data
structures returned by the Web API irrelevant, in the process making
the API more accessible for everyday use.
Demonstration programs are included in the archive.
Snarf is another small command-line URL fetcher. It supports proxying,
http redirect, http and ftp resume, http and ftp authentication, as well
as retrieving data via gopher and finger protocols.
Serendipity is a weblog/blog system, implemented with PHP.
It is standards compliant, feature rich and open source (BSD License).
Squid is a fully-featured HTTP/1.0 proxy which is almost (but not quite)
HTTP/1.1 compliant. Squid offers a rich access control, authorization and
logging environment to develop web proxy and content serving applications.
Squidview is a program that displays the squid proxy server log file in a nice
fashion, providing the log file is in squid's native reporting fashion. It has
features such as search, report generation, monitor mode and supports three log
files.
Thus, the program can be used to monitor Internet usage on a networked site.
But please note squid has to be running first and this program is not a
proactive resource controller. What it can do is tell you who and which sites
are consuming the most bandwidth.
swfdec-plugin is a Mozilla plugin for rendering flash (.swf) animations using
the gstreamer framework and the swfdec library. It should currently play Flash
4 files, and Flash 5 support is under development.
Firefox is an award winning, free, open-source web browser for many platforms
and is based on the Mozilla codebase. It is small, fast and easy to use, and

aria2fe is a graphical user interface for the command line based
program aria2. aria2fe was designed and constructed using C++/Qt for
the GNU Unix/Posix/Linux platform.
