What Is omi?
============
It is a software to "mirror" subtrees of FTP servers. It
can be used to make a one-time mirror, and it can be used
to update a mirror regularly (for example using cron).
ftpfind - find directory&file on a ftp server

ftplib is a set of routines that implement the FTP protocol. They allow
applications to create and access remote files through function calls
instead of needing to fork and exec an interactive ftp client program.
ftpsesame helps the FTP protocol get through your pf firewall.
It does this by passively analysing FTP control connections
and adding rules into a pf anchor when an FTP data connection
is about to commence.
Gwget is a download manager for the Gnome Desktop. The main features are:
* Resume: By default, gwget tries to continue any download.
* Notification: Gwget tries to use the Gnome notification area support,
if available. You can close the main window and gwget runs in the background.
* Recursivity: Gwget detects when you put a html, php, asp or a web page dir in
the url to download, and ask you to only download certain files (multimedia,
only the index, and so on).
* Drag & Drop: You can d&d a url to the main gwget window or the notification
area icon to add a new download.
hsftp is an FTP emulator that provides the
look-and-feel of an FTP session, but uses SSH
to transport commands and data.
Jftpgw is an FTP proxy/gateway that uses the FTP protocol (unlike those FTP
proxies that fetch an FTP file but work as an http proxy). You can use it to
make servers behind a firewall/NAT server (masquerading server) accessible
or to allow users behind such solutions to transfer files to and from the
outside of the LAN.
Jftpgw is highly configurable and can be run as a stand-alone daemon or
under control of inetd. A wide range of options can be spedified per client,
server or user. Other features are: support for a transparent proxy mode,
forwarding, file caching, detailed logging, port ranges and session limits.
JFtp is a graphical network browser. It support various types of connections
like FTP, SMB, SFTP, NFS, HTTP and local ones, has a nice swing gui, lots of
features and can be started and (auto)updated using Java Web Start in any
browser (link on homepage).
