A program for monitoring mailspools (and other things) that can display shaped icons.

'mailfmt' is a program to reformat mail and news to remove leading quotation characters and wrap the lines to a reasonable width. You need a reasonably current copy of Python to run the main script.

Elmo (ELectronic Mail Operator) is an ncurses-based program for receiving, filtering, reading, composing, and sending mail from a character terminal. It speaks POP3 and SMTP and can work with maildir or Berkeley-formatted mailboxes. This version is a development version, but is rather stable, and is known to work better than the stable version on FreeBSD 4.x. Before running elmo, users should run elmoconf.pl to generate an ~/.elmorc file.

This module is a Perl mail client interface for sending message that support HTML format and build them for you.. This module provide routine to transform a HTML page in MIME::Lite mail. The job done is: * Get the file (LWP) if needed * Parse page to find include images (gif, jpg, flash) * Attach them to mail with adequat header if asked (default) * Include external CSS,Javascript file * Replace relative url with absolute one * Build the final MIME-Lite object with each part found Did you already see link like "Send this page to a friend" ?. With this module, you can do script that to this in 3 lines. It can be used too in a HTML newsletter. You make a classic HTML page, and give just url to MIME::Lite::HTML.

C-client is a common API for accessing mailboxes. It is used internally by the popular PINE mail reader as well as the University of Washington's IMAP server. This is the version forked from UW by the original author Mark Crispin. For more information, please see the repository homepage:

Composes and mails a complaint about inappropriate commercial use of usenet/e-mail. Sends complaint his/her provider by default, but destination is configurable. Can be used with as few as three keystrokes. A third-party forwarding service called Abuse.net is used for complaints to the offender's provider. This ensures that the best known complaint address is used. The first time you use Abuse.net, you will receive a message asking you to register. See www.abuse.net. This was created in the belief that a single, concise message is the most appropriate way to complain. Mail bombing (e-mailing megabytes of useless data) and public flaming (replying on usenet, causing your complaint to be duplicated on every machine in the network) are discouraged.

spmfilter is a high-performance mail filtering framework, written in C. It attempts to be a general filtering framework for any purposes. Filtering mechanisms are provided by plugins, the API enables spmfilter plugins to access messages as they are being processed by the MTA. This allows them to examine and modify message content and meta-information during the SMTP transaction. Plugins are loaded at runtime and can be processed in any sequence, the processing chain can also be altered by a single plugin

Gubby is a small program that continually shows where Procmail has placed new email. It runs both in commandline and in an ncurses environment with colors, and will update the overview in real time, while using very low resources. Users can launch a specified mailreader by selecting a folder and pressing enter.
