Garden of coloured lights is an old school 2D vertical shoot-em-up
with some innovative elements. Innovative graphics, soundtrack and
game concept. The game itself is very challenging and as you progress,
you will understand that you are dealing with a true piece of art...
Old-school, puzzle game similar to Solomon's Key, but with modern
features.
Magicor is a puzzle game using "fancy" 2D graphics. The objective
is to extinguish fires using blocks of ice. Levels may have one or
more solutions, but thinking ahead is the key to victory in Magicor.
LinWarrior 3D targets to be a somewhat classical open source
Mech-Sim/Game. LinWarrior 3D is not exclusively bound to any specific
classic title. Feel-of-control should *not* be FPS-like but may
still be arcade-like and surrealistic. Classical means that the
primary target of development is single player campaigns and not
realistic graphics or physics.
This is a nice little game with color graphics and sound for your
Unix system with color X11. You need an 8-Bit color display or better.
It is not recommended on black&white systems, and maybe not on gray
scale systems.
It was first released as "Mirror Magic" in the year 1989 on the
Amiga (with ports on other computer systems).
Nazghul is a computer role-playing game (CRPG) engine. Obviously, the emphasis
is not on graphics or first-person squad-based stealth action. If you like
roguelikes or the top-down, 2d, turn-based CRPG's that disappeared in the early
90's then this is for you.
Science has unlocked the gates to the unknown, and now only one man
stands between Hell and Earth. A sci-fi horror masterpiece, DOOM 3 is
like nothing you have experienced. Dramatic storyline, pulse-pounding
action, incredible graphics, and revolutionary technology combine to
draw you into the most frightening and gripping first person gaming
experience ever created.
Arkanoid: Space Ball will be a surprise for the amateurs of unusual and
picturesque games as Arkanoid and space games. Everybody who wishes to spend
time perfectly will take a pleasure in Arkanoid: Space Ball too. A futuristic
atmosphere, modern techno-style graphics, a dynamical gameplay and an
excellent soundtrack give this game as a present for all Arkanoids admirers.
R1Q2 is an enhanced client/server for Quake II. Based on the id Software 3.21
source, rather than concentrate on fancy graphics, embedded MP3 players and
other "gimmick" features, R1Q2 is focused on providing stability, security and
speed whilst remaining fully compatible with existing mods and other clients.
Gnake is a Nibbles clone for GNU/Linux and *BSD.
It's played on a terminal (controlled by the curses library) with the
keyboard: the game is really simple and that's why I like playing it even in
the oh-my-god-my-graphics-card-costs-more-than-the-rest-of-the-computer era.
For the list of available options, type ``gnake -h''.
This is a nice little game with color graphics and sound for your Unix system
with color X11. You need an 8-Bit color display or better. It will not work
on black&white systems, and maybe not on gray scale systems.
If you know the game "Boulderdash" (Commodore C64) or "Emerald Mine" (Amiga),
you know what "ROCKS'N'DIAMONDS" is about.
