pecl-http extension aims to provide a convenient and powerful set of functionality for one of PHPs major applications. It eases handling of HTTP URLs, dates, redirects, headers and messages, provides means for negotiation of clients preferred language and charset, as well as a convenient way to send any arbitrary data with caching and resuming capabilities. From the c-icap homepage: c-icap is an implementation of an ICAP server. It can be used with HTTP proxies that support the ICAP protocol to implement content adaptation and filtering services. Most of the commercial HTTP proxies must support the ICAP protocol. The open source Squid 3.x proxy server supports it. URL Link is a small extension that allows you to select a non-URL in a mail/news message or web-page, and open it in a browser window. For emails, it reconnects links in emails which have been broken across several lines, and also replaces spaces with the URL character code %20 so that you may follow emailed network 'file:' links (which it auto- detects from Windows X: or servdir references). For web pages, it also allows you to select textual links/URLs in web pages or edit boxes, and follow them as if they were real links. It will always let you follow links and also analyses mailto: links.

SandUhr is an alarm clock, which is designed as a sand-glass. The program uses the X Window System and the GNOME desktop environment. The alarm is delivered to you by either ringing the console bell, by playing a sound file, or by starting an external program of your choice. The program is fully integrated into the GNOME application framework. o Drag and drop: you may drop a color onto the timer to change the sand's visual appearance. o It uses the GNOME help system to provide a manual. o Use of CORBA: The program provides a CORBA interface. So you may control the SandUhr from within your own programs.

muCommander is a lightweight, cross-platform file manager featuring a Norton Commander style interface and running on any operating system with Java support (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, *BSD, Solaris...). The mission of the Scientific and Technical Information Exchange (STIX) font creation project is the preparation of a comprehensive set of fonts that serve the scientific and engineering community in the process from manuscript creation through final publication, both in electronic and print formats. Toward this purpose, the STIX fonts will be made available, under royalty-free license, to anyone, including publishers, software developers, scientists, students, and the general public. These fonts cover all the symbols in MathML and this port can replace the former x11-fonts/mathfonts.

The Fast Light ToolKit ("FLTK", pronounced "fulltick") is a LGPL'd C++ graphical user interface for X11. FLTK provides modern GUI functionality without the bloat and supports 3D graphics via OpenGL and its built-in GLUT emulation. FLTK is designed to be small and modular enough to be statically linked, but works fine as a shared library. FLTK also includes an excellent UI builder called FLUID that can be used to create applications in minutes. This port tracks the development snapshot releases of FLTK.

XmHTML is a Motif widget capable of displaying HTML 3.2 documents. Features include a very good HTML parser (which is as also available as a Widget) with excellent document verification and repair capabilities. Features built in support for X11 bitmaps, pixmaps, GIF87a & GIF89a (using a patent free LZW decoding method), animated gifs, JPEG (baseline and progressive) and PNG (all features supported), anchor highlighting, text justification, full HTML <FRAME> support, HTML frames and many more. It also comes with four examples demonstrating possible use of the XmHTML widget.

A window-matching utility, inspired by Sawfish's "Matched Windows" option and the lack of the functionality in Metacity. Metacity lacking window matching is not a bad thing -- Metacity is a lean window manager, and window manipulation does not have to be a window manager task. Devil's Pie can be configured to detect windows as they are created, and match the window to a set of rules. If the window matches the rules, it can perform a series of actions on that window. For example, I make all windows created by X-Chat appear on all workspaces, and the main Gkrellm1 window does not appear in the pager or task list.

xmonad is a tiling window manager for X. Windows are arranged automatically to tile the screen without gaps or overlap, maximising screen use. All features of the window manager are accessible from the keyboard: a mouse is strictly optional. xmonad is written and extensible in Haskell. Custom layout algorithms, and other extensions, may be written by the user in config files. Layouts are applied dynamically, and different layouts may be used on each workspace. Xinerama is fully supported, allowing windows to be tiled on several screens.
