This is a simple http server for purely static content. You can use it to serve the content of a ftp server via http for example. It is also nice to export some files quickly by starting an http server in a few seconds without editing a config file first. Features/Design: ================ * single process: select() + non-blocking I/O * automatically generates directory listings when asked for a directory (check for index.html available as option), caches the listings. * no config file, just a few switches. Try "webfsd -h" for a list. * Uses ${PREFIX}/etc/webfsd/mime.types to map file extentions to mime/types (not included). * supports keep-alive and pipelined requests. * serves byte ranges. * optional logging in common log file format.

WebInject is a free tool for automated testing of web applications and web services. It can be used to test individual system components that have HTTP interfaces (JSP, ASP, CGI, PHP, Servlets, HTML Forms, XML/SOAP Web Services, etc), and can be used as a test harness to create a suite of [HTTP level] automated functional, acceptance, and regression tests. A test harness, also referred to as a test driver or a test framework, allows you to run many test cases and collect/report your results. WebInject offers real-time results display and may also be used for monitoring system response times. WebInject can be used as a complete test framework that is controlled by the WebInject User Interface (GUI). Optionally, it can be used as a standalone test runner (text/console application) which can be integrated and called from other test frameworks or applications.

WebStone is free benchmarking tool for web servers available from Mindcraft. The version available here has been SSL enabled, so secure web servers can be benchmarked using our version. In addition to the default configuration parameters, the following can be specified: 1. SSL_VERSION: SSLv2, SSLv23 or SSLv3 (default SSLv3) 2. SSL_CIPHER(SSL preferred cipher): use ssl ciphers specified in ssl[2,3].h, e.g RC4-SHA, IDEA-CBC-SHA, DH-DSS-DES-CBC3-SHA (default EDH-RSA-DES-CBC3-SHA). Specifying an SSLv2 cipher in SSLv3 mode won't work (and vice versa) 3. SSL_CACHE_MODE(client cache mode): ON, OFF (default OFF) 4. SSL_MIX(percentage HTTPS connections, remaining connections are filled in with HTTP connections): 0.0-1.0 (default 1.0) 5. HTTPS_PORT: port (default 8443)

The WebStone benchmark tests were originally developed by Silicon Graphics to measure the performance of Web server software and hardware products. WebStone 2.0.1 is a more portable version of the original WebStone benchmark which added support to use Windows NT systems as client test systems. Mindcraft, Inc. has acquired the rights to WebStone from Silicon Graphics. WebStone 2.5 is Mindcraft's enhancement to WebStone 2.0.1 to improve reliability and portability as well as to make tests more reproducible. WebStone 2.5 also offers new workloads for CGI and API tests (see below for more details). WebStone 2.5 provides performance-identical test results with WebStone 2.0.1 when using the same workloads This FreeBSD port rely on rsh and rcp being allowed for the user proces running webstone between the web server and web clients. This is not enable per default in FreeBSD, and root is never allowed to do it without entering password for each operation.

An efficient C++ WSDL library which parses a WSDL file & provides APIs to access WSDL elements. It has a library for parsing xml schemas and validating instances. It uses xml pull parsing methodology, and is meant to be semantically equivalent to WSDL4J.

Wsmake is a tool that aids in the production and maintenance of web sites. It was written to reduce the amount of time it takes to make changes to common information across a website, by keeping the content of the website separate from the design. Wsmake supports a model where the contents of the website are statically generated from sources.

The wwwoffled program is a simple proxy server with special features for use with dial-up internet links. This means that it is possible to browse web pages and read them without having to remain connected. * Can be configured to use dial-on-demand for pages that are not cached. * Selection of pages to download next time online + Using normal browser to follow links. + Command line interface to select pages for downloading. * Control which pages can be requested when offline. * Provides non-cached access to intranet servers.

xombrero, previously known as xxxterm, is a minimalists web browser. It strives to be vi-like for heavy keyboard users while maintaining traditional web browser behaviour. It is ISC licensed. It is based on webkit using GTK+.

htmlpp is a Perl[45] script that allows easy maintaining of Web sites of any size, by allowing you to create "template" HTML files using a form of page description language. It will even turn plain-text files into quick-n-dirty, yet nicely formatted HTML using the "GURU mode" feature. Documentation is included in HTML format (stored in /usr/local/share/doc/htmlpp), and since the documentation was produced using htmlpp itself, you can take a look at the source file (also installed) to see an example of how to use htmlpp.
