netstiff (formerly known as webdiff) is a powerful Web and FTP site update checker. mod_realdoc is an Apache module which does a realpath on the docroot symlink and sets the absolute path as the real document root for the remainder of the request.

The mod_setenvifplus module allows you to set environment variables according to whether different aspects of the request match regular expressions you specify.
