Netdude is the NETwork DUmp data Displayer and Editor for tcpdump tracefiles. It is a GUI-based tool that allows you to make detailed changes to packets in tcpdump tracefiles.

Netmap can be used to make a graphical representation of the surrounding network. It first uses traceroute to make a list of all routers and their interconnections, after which it generates a .dot file.

Nifmon is a curses-based tool for FreeBSD which can be used to monitor network interfaces (also tun devices). It displays continously updated statistics for the following quantities: - total amount of bytes/packets transferred in/out - bytes/packets transferred in/out during the last second/minute/hour - a stripped down tcpdump output You will need super-user permissions in order to use nifmon.

This module provides methods for implementing a DHCP client. It allows perl scripts to interacts with DHCP servers. It's good for DHCP servers testing.

ntop is a flexible and feature-rich tool for monitoring and troubleshooting local area networks. It provides command line and web interfaces, the latter via an embedded web server. ntop is based on libpcap.

OhPhone is a H323 Video Conferencing Program compatible with other H323 video conferencing programs including Microsoft NetMeeting. OhPhone supports full duplex audio and bi-directional video. It requires a full duplex sound card for audio support and a Bt848/878 based video card (using the bktr driver) for video capture. It uses the OpenH323 and PWLib libraries, developed by Equivalence Pty.

Omnitty is a curses-based program that allows one to log into several machines simultaneously and interact with them, selectively directing input to individual machines or groups of selected machines. You can run both line-oriented and screen oriented in the target machines, because Omnitty has built-in terminal emulation capability. When the window is large enough, Omnitty also displays a "summary area" for each machine, in which it shows what the latest output from the machine was, so you can have an idea of what is going on in each machine.
