emesene is an instant messenger capable of connecting to various
networks and utilizing different graphical toolkits. Currently msn and
xmpp (jabber) are supported through papyon and SleekXMPP, which allows
emesene to connect to various IM services such as Windows Live
Messenger, GTalk, Facebook Chat, etc.
Gale is an open-source messaging system. It provides private messaging and
public chat, uses strong end-to-end cryptography for security, and supports
a distributed server network with a range of clients (both console and GUI)
available.
Python ICQ-Transport for Jabber.
The purpose of this transport is to provide a way for users to be logged into
ICQ via their Jabber account. It is implemented in Python, using the Twisted
framework. This project is just getting off the ground, and so it does not have
quite the functionality of other transports yet. That will come in time.
icqlib is a library required by kicq, KDE ICQ client.
Note that it is NOT libicq and is not compatible with it.
ICMP-Chat is a simple console-based chat that uses ICMP packets for
communication. The data is encrypted using the Rijndael-256 algorithm.
jabberd14 is the original server implementation of the Jabber protocol,
now known as XMPP. It is open source, and it is free. This implementation
has been formerly known as just jabberd as well.
Please note: net-im/jabberd (also known as jabberd 2.x) is not a newer
version of jabberd14 but a completely different project.
Jarl is a Perl/Tk application that allows one to access a Jabber
account and have full access to the Jabber IM system. It runs on any
platform that supports Perl and Tk, which at this time is most
platforms.
Jarl is going to be a full featured Jabber client that supports 100%
of the features that the Jabber IM offers.
jGGtrans (GG Transport), is external component for XMPP/Jabber
server providing gateway to GaduGadu instant messaging services.
jGGtrans is known to work well together with ejabberd, jabberd
1.4 and jabberd 2, but most other Jabber server implementations
should work too.
pecl-stomp allows php applications to communicate with any
Stomp compliant Message Brokers through easy object oriented
and procedural interfaces.
Pwytter is a multi-platform, standalone Twitter client written in Python
using Tkinter. It currently features:
