sam2p is a UNIX command line utility written in ANSI C++ that converts many raster (bitmap) image formats into Adobe PostScript or PDF files and several other formats. The images are not vectorized. sam2p gives full control to the user to specify standards-compliance, compression, and bit depths. In some cases sam2p can compress an image 100 times smaller than the PostScript output of many other common image converters. sam2p provides ZIP, RLE and LZW (de)compression filters even on Level1 devices.

Gnash is a GNU Flash movie player. Previously, it was only possible to play flash movies with proprietary software. While there are some other free flash players, none support anything beyond SWF v4. Gnash is based on GameSWF, and supports many SWF v7 features. - Runs standalone Gnash can run standalone to play flash movies. - Browser plugin Gnash can also run as a plugin from within most Mozilla derived browsers, such as Firefox. gThumb is an image viewer and browser for the GNOME Desktop. It also includes an importer tool for transferring photos from cameras.

The Mesh Viewer is an easy to use lightweight application to display triangular meshes from a variety of file formats. It uses the OpenGL API to render the models. The program was born under the need for quickly displaying reconstructed triangulated meshes. The Mesh Viewer based on an idea and an early elementary implementation from Craig Robertson. The current version was developed by Helmut Cantzler. Triangular meshes can be displayed texture mapped (optional with bilinear filtering), solid or as a skeleton (full or just the front lines). The surface normals of the triangles can be displayed optionally. Features (from a different data file) like edges and points can be displayed into the mesh. Loaded models can be rotated, translated and scaled (all done with the mouse). The model is lighted by multiple light sources. Viewpoints can be saved. Screenshots of the model can be taken (as BMP, JPEG, PNG and so on).

Metapixel is a photomosaic generator. It can generate classical photomosaics, in which the source image is viewed as a matrix of equally sized rectangles for each of which a matching image is substituted, as well as collage-style photomosaics, where the images are placed at arbitrary positions in the source image, not aligned to a matrix.

Multican is Canon EOS cameras USB remote control utility for 300D, 350D, 30D, 20D, and 5D. Multican allows scripted remote control of multiple cameras; it is possible to control up to six cameras attached at the same time. Multican communicates with camera directly, without generic library such as provided by gPhoto2, and currently has no GUI, which makes it no replacement for Canon's EOS Utility, but it can be useful nonetheless in various setups, e.g. for astrophotography.

MozJPEG is a fork of libjpeg-turbo with 'jpgcrush' functionality built in. This project's goal is to reduce the size of JPEG files without reducing quality or compatibility with the vast majority of the world's deployed decoders. The idea is to reduce transfer times for JPEGs on the Web, thus reducing page load times. 'mozjpeg' is not intended to be a general JPEG library replacement. It makes tradeoffs that are intended to benefit Web use cases and focuses solely on improving encoding. It is best used as part of a Web encoding workflow. For a general JPEG library (e.g. your system libjpeg), especially if you care about decoding, we recommend graphics/libjpeg-turbo port.

mtPaint is a simple GTK+1/2 painting program designed for creating icons and pixel based artwork. It can edit indexed palette or 24 bit RGB images and offers basic painting and palette manipulation tools. It also has several other more powerful features such as channels, layers and animation. Due to its simplicity and lack of dependencies it runs well on GNU/Linux, Windows and older PC hardware.
