Remind is a sophisticated calendar and alarm program. It includes the

tel is a little console-based phone book program. It allows adding,
modifying, editing, and searching of phone book entries right on your
terminal. Pretty printing capabilites are also provided. Entries are
stored in a simple CSV file. This eases import and export with common
spread sheet applications like Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice.org Calc.
Send2Trash is a small package that sends files to the Trash (or Recycle Bin)
natively and on all platforms.
Rolo keeps track of your contacts and display them to you with a text-based
menu. Rolo strives to be a well-constructed tool for complementing text-based
email programs-such as mutt. It utilizes the vCard version 3.0 format for
storing its contacts and it interfaces with the end-user through a NCurses

This is a port of Taskjuggler, a project management tool for Linux and UNIX
system-based operating systems. Instead of clicking yourself painfully through
hundreds of dialog boxes you specify your Taskjuggler project in a simple text
format. You simply list all your tasks and their dependencies. The information
is sent through Taskjuggler and you will get all sorts of reports in HTML or
XML format.
Shutter is a feature-rich screenshot program for Linux based operating systems
such as Ubuntu. You can take a screenshot of a specific area, window, your
whole screen, or even of a website - apply different effects to it, draw on it
to highlight points, and then upload to an image hosting site, all within one
window. Shutter is free, open-source, and licensed under GPL v3.
