The Cache modules are designed to assist a developer in persisting
data for a specified period of time. Often these modules are used
in web applications to store data locally to save repeated and
redundant expensive calls to remote machines or databases.
pycountry provides the ISO databases for the standards:

The package includes a copy from Debian's pkg-isocodes and makes
the data accessible through a Python API. Translation files for
the various strings are included as well.
RSCM - Ruby Source Control Management is to SCM what DBI/JDBC/ODBC
are to databases - an SCM-independent API for accessing a wide
variety of SCMs.
RSCM currently supports CVS and Subversion. Support for ClearCase,
Darcs, Monotone, Perforce and StarTeam is in progress and partly
available.
DbVisualizer is a feature rich, intuitive and cross platform database tool
for developers and DBA's providing a single powerful interface for a variety
of databases. DbVisualizer supports simultaneous database connections, it
lets you explore and manage database objects, execute SQL queries,
visualize information and a lot more.
This program implements the Eudora password changing protocol. This protocol
allows remote users to change their password and is supported by mail clients
such as Eudora, NuPOP and a variety of webmail systems.
poppwd supports PAM and so can be used against almost any password database,
including local password files, LDAP or SQL databases.

check_postgres.pl - a Postgres monitoring script for Nagios, MRTG,
Cacti, and others
check_postgres.pl is a Perl script that runs many different tests
against one or more Postgres databases. It uses the psql program to
gather the information, and outputs the results in one of three
formats: Nagios, MRTG, or simple.
super_mediator is an IPFIX mediator designed to split IPFIX sensing flows
and distribute the network telemetry information to multiple sources. It
can export the network telemetry data gathered into formats designed for
bulk loading into databases (e.g. MySQL) or as JSON outputs, as well as
directly loading MySQL tables. super_mediator is primarily designed to get
network telemetry data from YAF.
The DICT Protocol, described in RFC 2229 is a TCP transaction based
query/response protocol that allows a client to access dictionary definitions
from a set of natural language dictionary databases. While RFC 2229 is a
finished document, we plan to clarify and enhance the protocol definition as we
gain more experience with large dictionary database servers. By default, the
DICT protocol uses TCP port 2628.
nss_ldap is a NSS module which provides an LDAP backend for C library
functions such as getpwnam(3), getgrnam(3), and gethostbyname(3). It
is compliant with RFC 2307, ``An Approach for Using LDAP as a Network
Information Service''.
Currently this is an experimental port, with support only for the
`passwd' and `group' databases.
