This is the source distribution of XForms, a graphical user interface toolkit for X Window Systems. It should work under X11 R4, R5 & R6. XForms features a rich set of objects, such as buttons, scrollbars, and menus etc. integrated into an easy and efficient object/event callback execution model that allows fast and easy construction of X-applications. In addition, the library is extensible and new objects can easily be created and added to the library.

XmHTML is a Motif widget capable of displaying HTML 3.2 documents. Features include a very good HTML parser (which is as also available as a Widget) with excellent document verification and repair capabilities. Features built in support for X11 bitmaps, pixmaps, GIF87a & GIF89a (using a patent free LZW decoding method), animated gifs, JPEG (baseline and progressive) and PNG (all features supported), anchor highlighting, text justification, full HTML <FRAME> support, HTML frames and many more. It also comes with four examples demonstrating possible use of the XmHTML widget.

Aewm is a modern, minimal window manager for X11. It is controlled entirely with the mouse, but contains no visible UI apart from window frames. It builds complex operations by chaining together primitives aewm does not try to do everything; there are plenty of better clients for defining hotkeys, menus, setting your background image, etc. Aewm makes it easy for you to keep the edges of the root window unobscured, so that you have essentially infinite space to click without having to aim (this principle is based on Fitts's Law). There is intentionally no panel or dock to get in the way. Aewm does not make decisions about where your windows should go. It can be used as an ordinary overlapping window manager, but is powerful enough to let you "tile" windows ad hoc if you prefer; maximizing space usage and removing overlaps are basic commands. You can also optionally take control of window mapping and change where windows will appear (including stacking and tiling) before they are actually shown. This port installs not only the window manager, but also the aemenu and aepanel applets. These provide a list of windows by title (vertically for aemenu, horizontally for aepanel) and a menu from which programs may be run.

AntiWM is a small and simple window manager with a focus on productivity and utility. Inspired by ratpoison, AntiWM is keyboard driven and handles all windows fullscreen.

awesome is a tiling window manager initially based on a dwm code rewriting. It's extremely fast, small, dynamic and awesome. Windows can be managed in several layouts: tiled and floating. Each layout can be applied on the fly, optimizing the environment for the application in use and the task performed. Managing windows in tiled mode assures that no space will be waste on your screen. No gaps, no overlap. This port contains the older and somewhat static 2.x branch of the awesome window manager. If you prefer the latest stable version, try the x11-wm/awesome port.

bspwm is a tiling window manager that represents windows as the leaves of a full binary tree. It is controlled and configured via bspc.

Clementine is based on aewm. It has title bars, iconizing, and styles. It is still in an early stage of development.

Equinox Desktop Environment. Main goals of this project are simplicity, speed, minimal memory usage (if possible), good look and feel, and stability.

Fvwm is a just another window manager for X11, which provides a simple virtual desktop, a 3-D look for windows decorations, and shaped, color icons. It can be configured to use far less memory than twm, or to give a very good emulation of mwm. A nice button-bar can be used to provide convenient access to frequently used functions or programs.
