Clutter-GStreamer (clutter-gst) is an integration library for using GStreamer
with Clutter.
Clutter is an open source software library for creating fast, visually
rich and animated graphical user interfaces. It uses OpenGL for drawing
primitives and has multiple backends, allowing its usage on different
platforms.
GStreamer is a streaming media framework, based on graphs of filters
which operate on media data. Applications using this library can do
anything from real-time sound processing to playing videos, and just
about anything else media-related. Its plugin-based architecture means
that new data types or processing capabilities can be added simply by
installing new plug-ins.

This is a commandline / console TV channel tuner for Brooktree-based TV capture
cards running under FreeBSD using the bktr driver
It does not require any other utilities (fxtv/xawtv) and does NOT require

DeVeDe is a program to create video DVDs and CDs (VCD, sVCD or CVD),
suitables for home players, from any number of video files, in any of
the formats supported by Mplayer. The big advantage over other utilites
is that it only needs Mplayer, Mencoder, DVDAuthor, VCDImager and
MKisofs (well, and Python 2.4, PyGTK and PyGlade), so its dependencies
are really small.
Rage is a video and audio player written with Enlightenment Foundation
Libraries with some extra bells and whistles.
This is the distribution of "dtv", a program which interfaces with
tv-capture and audio cards and can generate a capture file and/or operate
in a client/server environment. It consists of a single program, dtv,
which can act as both client and server.
ClipGrab doesn't only allow you to download videos from sites like Youtube,
Dailymotion or Vimeo but also gives you the ability to convert them in a single
step into "usable" formats like WMV, MPEG or MP3. So you'll be able to watch
(or listen to) your favourite Youtube clips wherever you are.
ClipGrab currently supports these sites:
-YouTube
-Dailymotion
-Vimeo
-MyVideo
-MySpass
dv2jpg converts a Type-2 DV codec-encoded AVI stream (from dvgrab, for example)
to an mjpeg-encoded AVI stream that can be processed by the mjpeg tools
package. The mjpeg AVI can be converted to mpeg video/audio and burned onto a
VCD later.
dv2sub is a simple utility that extracts the date and time of recording from
a dv video file (using libdv) and outputs it as a subtitle file.
It can also display useful information about the dv stream, like video norm
(PAL/NTSC), aspect ratio normal (4:3) or wide (16:9), interlaced or
progressive material, number of audio channels, audio sampling frequency,
number of audio samples, timestamp and recording date & time.
dvbcut is a Qt application which enables you to select certain parts of an
MPEG transport stream (as received on Digital Video Broadcasting, DVB) and
save these parts into a single MPEG output file. It follows a "keyhole
surgery" approach. Thus, the input video and audio data is mostly kept
unchanged, only very few frames at the beginning and/or end of the selected
range are recoded in order to obtain a valid MPEG file.
