Toolpath generator for 3-axis CNC machining
PyCAM is a toolpath generator for 3-axis CNC machining. It loads 3D models in STL format or 2D contour models from DXF or SVG files. The resulting GCode can be used with EMC2 or any other machine controller. PyCAM supports a wide range of toolpath strategies for 3D models and 2D contour models.

Graphical tool for designing finite state machines
Qfsm is a graphical editor for finite state machines written in C++ using Qt. Finite state machines are a model to describe complex objects or systems in terms of the states they may be in. In practice they can used to create regular expressions, scanners or other program code. Current features of Qfsm are: - Creation, editing, loading and saving of binary and ASCII machines - Drawing of states and transitions - Binary and ASCII condition codes - Setting of a start state and end states - Zooming - Cut, copy & paste inside Qfsm - Printing of diagrams - Multiple windows - Integrity check - Interactive simulation - AHDL/VHDL export - State table export (Latex, HTML)

Graphical circuit design and simulation tool
Qucs is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window.

General-purpose circuit analysis program
SCEPTRE (System for Circuit Evaluation and Prediction of Transient Radiation Effects) is a general purpose circuit analysis program which provides all three major analyses, AC, DC, and transient analysis, on either linear or nonlinear networks. It employs a free-form input language and state variable methods to simulate problems of interest to electrical engineers.

Package for graph and mesh partitioning and sparse matrix ordering
SCOTCH is a software package and libraries for graph, mesh and hypergraph partitioning, static mapping, and sparse matrix block ordering. Its purpose of Scotch is to apply graph theory, with a divide and conquer approach, to scientific computing problems such as graph and mesh partitioning, static mapping, and sparse matrix ordering, in application domains ranging from structural mechanics to operating systems or bio-chemistry. The SCOTCH distribution is a set of programs and libraries which implement the static mapping and sparse matrix reordering algorithms developed within the SCOTCH project.

General-purpose circuit simulation program
SPICE is a general-purpose circuit simulation program for nonlinear DC, nonlinear transient, and linear AC analyses. Circuits may contain resistors, capacitors, inductors, mutual inductors, independent voltage and current sources, four types of dependent sources, lossless and lossy transmission lines (two separate implementations), switches, uniform distributed RC lines, and the five most common semiconductor devices: diodes, BJTs, JFETs, MESFETs, and MOSFETs. Patch Levels I and II (including a new spec command for spectral analysis) and the level 2 JFET model are courtesy from the Macquarie University. Online documentation at:
