Emc2 is a portable, interactive, graphical editor of two-dimensional mesh
geometries. It can create and modify geometries (as in CAD), and define line
discretizations, subdomains, and reference numbers (to take into account
boundary conditions and material properties). Grid and Delaunay-Voronoi
meshes composed of triangles or quadrilaterals can be regularized, rotated,
and modified via the addition, removal, or moving of vertices.
It is suggested that users also install the math/bamg port.
CVC3 is an automatic theorem prover for Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT)
problems. It can be used to prove the validity (or, dually, the
satisfiability) of first-order formulas in a large number of built-in logical
theories and their combination.
CVC3 is the last offspring of a series of popular SMT provers, which originated
at Stanford University with the SVC system. In particular, it builds on the
code base of CVC Lite, its most recent predecessor. Its high level design
follows that of the Sammy prover.
CVC3 works with a version of first-order logic with polymorphic types and has
a wide variety of features including:
* several built-in base theories: rational and integer linear arithmetic,
arrays, tuples, records, inductive data types, bit vectors, and equality
over uninterpreted function symbols;
* support for quantifiers;
* an interactive text-based interface;
* a rich C and C++ API for embedding in other systems;
* proof and model generation abilities;
* predicate subtyping;
* essentially no limit on its use for research or commercial purposes
(see license).
EdenMath is a scientific calculator. It does standard arithmetic,
probability, and trigonometric functions.
LICENSE: GPL2 or later
bc is an arbitrary precision numeric processing language. Syntax is similar
to C but differs in many substantial areas. It supports interactive execution
of statements. The bc utility is included in the POSIX 1003.1-2008 standard.
Although it works best with the TeX fonts installed, jsMath canfall back
on a collection of image-based fonts (which can still be scaled or printed
at high resolution). This is a pack of those.
Scriptable bar graph generator with stacked and clustered bars support, using
gnuplot to produce fig output and then mangle it to fill in the bars. Any number
of clustered datasets are supported, as well as automatic averaging and other
features.
GotoBLAS2 is a fast implementation of Basic Linear Algebra
Subprograms. It supports various architectures and is optimized
for many cores, including Intel Nehalem and Atom, Via Nano,
SiCortex, AMD Shanghai and Istanbul.
levmar is a GPL-licensed library written in C, that implements the
Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) optimization algorithm, one of the most
effective methods for solving nonlinear least squares problems.
KAlgebra is a mathematical calculator based on content markup MathML
language, capable to make simple MathML operations (arithmetic and
logical) and to representate 2D and 3D graphs.
The GNU Scientific Library (GSL) is a collection of routines for numerical
computing. The routines are written from scratch by the GSL team in ANSI C,
and are meant to present a modern Applications Programming Interface (API)
for C programmers, while allowing wrappers to be written for very high level
languages.
