CtrlProxy runs on a computer with a 24/7 internet connection and allows you to
transparently connect to IRC from anywhere on the world to your nick. It
connects to one or more IRC servers and then allows you to connect to it with
any number of clients, providing access to these servers. This is very useful
if you don't want to leave IRC but still want to be able to use it from home,
school or work.
gnubiff is a mail notification program that checks for mail, displays
headers when new mail has arrived and allow to read first lines of
new mails.
It relies on the GNOME and GTK libraries but can be compiled and
used with or without GNOME support. Supported protocols are pop3,
apop, imap4, mh, qmail and mailfile.
Furthermore, gnubiff is fully configurable with a lot of options
like polltime, poptime, sounds, mail reader, mailbox names, etc.
and can also filter spam.
IMAPFilter is a mail filtering utility. It connects to remote mail servers
using the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP), sends searching queries to
the server and processes mailboxes based on the results. It can be used to
delete, copy, move, flag, etc. messages residing in mailboxes at the same or
different mail servers.
IMAPFilter uses the Lua programming language as a configuration and extension
language.
readpst: A tool for converting Outlook .pst files to Unix mbox and other
formats.
This version can now convert both 32-bit Outlook files (pre-2003), and the
64-bit Outlook 2003 .pst files. Utilities are supplied to convert email messages
to both mbox and MH mailbox formats, and to DII load file format for use with
many of the CT Summation products. Contacts can be converted to a simple list,
to vcard format, or to .ldif format for import to an LDAP server.
Net::SMTP::SSL implements the same API as Net::SMTP, but uses IO::Socket::SSL
for its network operations. Due to the nature of Net::SMTP's new method, it is
not overridden to make use of a default port for the SMTPS service. Perhaps
future versions will be smart like that. Port 465 is usually what you want, and
it's not a pain to specify that.
SpamAssassin is a mail filter which attempts to identify spam using text
analysis and several internet-based realtime blacklists.
Using its rule base, it uses a wide range of heuristic tests on mail
headers and body text to identify "spam", also known as unsolicited
commercial email.
Once identified, the mail can then be optionally tagged as spam for later
filtering using the user's own mail user-agent application.
Additional drop-in rule sets are available at
http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/CustomRulesets
Calc is an interactive calculator which provides for easy large
numeric calculations, but which also can be easily programmed for
difficult or long calculations. It can accept a command line
argument, in which case it executes that single command and exits.
Otherwise, it enters interactive mode. There are a great number
of pre-defined functions. The calculator can calculate transcendental
functions, and accept and display numbers in real or exponential format.
The calculator also knows about complex numbers.
Chryzodus is a cross-platform graphical program drawing
beautiful and colorful chryzodes.
If you do not know what chryzodes are, take a look at
http://www.chryzode.org/. Then you will be able to explore
the world of chryzodes by yourself using Chryzodus.
But one does not even need to know much about chryzodes
to use Chryzodus and see beautiful images appear on the screen!
clRNG
a library for uniform random number generation in OpenCL.
Streams of random numbers act as virtual random number generators.
They can be created on the host computer in unlimited numbers, and
then used either on the host or on computing devices by work items
to generate random numbers. Each stream also has equally-spaced
substreams, which are occasionally useful. The API is currently
implemented for four different RNGs, namely the MRG31k3p, MRG32k3a,
LFSR113 and Philox-4x32-10 generators.
The octave-forge package is the result of The GNU Octave Repositry project,
which is intended to be a central location for custom scripts, functions and
extensions for GNU Octave. contains the source for all the functions plus
build and install scripts.
This is msh.
Package for creating and managing triangular and tetrahedral meshes for
Finite Element or Finite Volume PDE solvers. Uses a mesh data structure
compatible with pdetool. Relies on gmsh for unstructured mesh generation.
