ArchiveSMTP is a mail archiver designed to be run on an SMTP mail server. It
uses rule-based matching to collect and store mail passing through an MTA to
specific locations in mbox format. Adding headers and piping output to other
programs is also supported. The libmilter interface is used and must be
supported by the MTA for ArchiveSMTP to work.
Version: 1.2
Binc IMAP is a GPL licensed IMAP4rev1 server for Maildir, written in C++.
It strives to be stable, fast, flexible, and RFC compliant.
For those familiar with qmail-pop3d, this IMAP server will be the natural
choice. It is invoked similarly and uses checkpassword to authenticate.
Archmbox is a simple email archiver written in Perl; it parses one or more
mailboxes, selects some or all messages and then performs specific actions
on the selected messages. Archmbox supports mbox and mbx mailbox formats.
Four different modes are available:
- List mode, which is useful to list all selected messages before
archmbox performs the real operations (archiving or deleting)
- Kill mode, if messages should be deleted from the mailbox(es) rather
than archived
- Archive mode, to archive the selected messages in a different mailbox
- Copy mode, to copy the selected messages from the source mailbox
Messages selection is based upon a date criteria; an absolute date or days
offset can be specified. It is also possible to refine the selection using
regular expressions on the header fields of the message.
All archived messages are stored in a new mailbox with the same name of the
original one plus .archived as extension (this is the default, but can be
changed); the archive mailbox can be saved in gz or bz2 compressed format
as well.
The Exim monitor (eximon) is a graphical user interface for the Exim
mail transfer agent for Unix systems. Eximon is distributed as part
of the standard Exim distribution, but its dependency on XFree86
annoys many administrators.
For this reason, it is available as its own package to allow
administrators to easily install Exim without installing XFree86.
IMAP Spam Begone (isbg) is a script that makes it easy to scan
an IMAP inbox for spam using SpamAssassin and get your spam
moved to another folder.
Unlike the normal mode of deployments for SpamAssassin, isbg
does not need to be involved in mail delivery, and can run on
completely different machines to where your mailbox actually
is.
These are a collection of subroutines that encapsulate much of the
format-specific and tedious details of the JAM message base format.
The idea is that application programmers by using these routines can
concentrate on the more high-level issues of their programs instead
of worrying about their JAM routines.
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) library and client in C.
SPF is a standard under development for email envelope sender
verification. Domain owners can specify who is qualified to send
mail for the domain by publishing SPF TXT records in DNS.
Read all about SPF at http://spf.pobox.com/
listadmin is a command-line alternative to Mailman's Web interface
for administering mailing lists. It allows you to inspect messages
or subscription requests, approve or discard them manually, or
discard messages automatically when certain conditions are true.
listadmin can also be configured to run out of cron to do routine cleaning.
Mailmgr is a Sendmail Analisys Report Generator.
The html reports contain the following informations:
Username
messages sent
messages received
bytes sent
bytes received
Messages from with date, time and bytes per user
Messages to with date, time and bytes per user
mbox2mdir is a small program to convert mail stored in UNIX mbox format to
qmail's Maildir format. It can (optionally) also truncate the source mbox file
upon successful conversion. I use it to move mail delivered by /bin/mail or
sendmail to qmail Maildir folders, but of course there are many other possible
uses for it.
