subtools is a port of DivX Subtitles MiniTools, command-line
tools for movie subtitles in SubRipper format (.srt files).
"srtshift" can adjust the subtitles by shifting them to the
beginning or to the end. "srtrate" does the same by changing
the supposed frame rate.
It's in early stages of development (and have been there for
a few years now), but it does its job well.
bgpuma is a program for searching BGP update files created by MRT
or Zebra/Quagga for CIDR blocks and/or Autonomous Systems. Given
a list of CIDR blocks, it looks for those CIDR blocks which match
the list, are contained in the list, or are contained by the list.
For Autonomous Systems, it looks for routes that are announced by
the given system.
It is based on the library created by RIPE called bgpdump and SiLK,
created by CERT.
Disco is a passive IP discovery and fingerprinting utility
designed to sit on segments distributed throughout a network to
discover unique IP's on the network. In addition to IP
discovery disco has the ability to passively fingerprint TCP
SYN packets. The intention is for disco to discover IP's on the
network, fingerprint the packet if necessary, and load into the
Gherkin Scan Manager database for targeted host scans.
rtGui is a web based front end for rTorrent - a command line
BitTorrent client. It's written in PHP and uses XML-RPC to communicate
with the rTorrent client.
Features
* List all torrent downloads or by
* started/stopped/complete/incomplete/seeding status.
* Sort view by any of the displayed columns.
* View detailed torrent information.
* Stop/start/hash-check torrent.
* Set upload/download speed cap.
* Add torrents by URL.
* Does not require mySQL or any other database.
* Set priority per torrent or file.
"echoping" is a small program to test (approximatively) performances of a
remote host by sending it TCP "echo" (or other protocol) packets.
- uses the protocols echo, discard, chargen or HTTP,
- uses UDP instead of TCP for the protocols which accept it (like echo),
- can repeat the test and display various measures about it,
- can use T/TCP on systems which support it.
It's useful for checking that http servers are running and not wedged.
hinfo is a utility that will display information about a host. It is
primarily designed to find the owner of an IP block in order to direct
spam complaints to where they may do some good.
(maintainer's note: the DATAFILES are updated without the port version
necessarily being updated. Expect drift on distinfo. See hinfo-update.)
Although the home page of the software is at www.blars.org/hinfo.html,
that page is not reachable from the FreeBSD.org domain.
The ipsumdump program summarizes TCP/IP dump files into a self-describing
ASCII format easily readable by humans and programs.
Ipsumdump can read packets from network interfaces, from tcpdump files, and
from existing ipsumdump files. It will transparently uncompress tcpdump or
ipsumdump files when necessary. It can randomly sample traffic, filter
traffic based on its contents, anonymize IP addresses, and sort packets from
multiple dumps by timestamp. Also, it can optionally create a tcpdump file
containing actual packet data.
Jags is a Gtk+ based windows network neighbourhood browser. The
program parses the output from smbclient ( part of the samba-package
) and use this to display a graphic view of the network. This
program does the parsing with help from shell- scripts. This means
that it's easy to change the functionality of the program and you
can edit this without touching the source-code.
iLBC (internet Low Bitrate Codec) is a FREE speech codec suitable for robust
voice communication over IP. The codec is designed for narrow band speech and
results in a payload bit rate of 13.33 kbit/s with an encoding frame length
of 30 ms and 15.20 kbps with an encoding length of 20 ms. The iLBC codec
enables graceful speech quality degradation in the case of lost frames,
which occurs in connection with lost or delayed IP packets.
NTLM Authorization Proxy Server (APS) is a proxy software that allows you
to authenticate via an MS Proxy Server using the proprietary NTLM protocol.
Since version 0.9.5 APS has an ability to behave as a standalone proxy server
and authenticate http clients at web servers using NTLM method. It can change
arbitrary values in your client's request header so that those requests will
look like they were created by MS IE.
