Distributed session caching tools and APIs, primarily for SSL/TLS servers
though perhaps useful for other (non-SSL/TLS) circumstances. This also
includes a self-contained network abstraction library (libnal), and the
sslswamp SSL/TLS benchmark/test utility.
AFF4 -The Advanced Forensics File Format
The Advanced Forensics File format 4 was originally designed and published in
"Extending the advanced forensic format to accommodate multiple data sources,
logical evidence, arbitrary information and forensic workflow" M.I. Cohen,
Simson Garfinkel and Bradley Schatz, digital investigation 6 (2009) S57-S68.
The format is an open source format used for the storage of digital evidence and
data.
PyMe is a Python interface to GPGME library.
PyMe's development model is GPGME + Python + SWIG (just like m2crypto is
an OpenSSL + Python + SWIG) combination which means that most of the
functions and types are converted from C into Python automatically by SWIG.
In short, to be able to use PyMe you need to be familiar with GPGME.
The pyscard smartcard library is a framework for building smart card
aware applications in Python. The smartcard module is built on top of
the PCSC API Python wrapper module.
Duo provides simple two-factor authentication as a service via:
1. Phone callback
2. SMS-delivered one-time passcodes
3. Duo mobile app to generate one-time passcodes
4. Duo mobile app for smartphone push authentication
5. Duo hardware token to generate one-time passcodes
This package allows an admin (or ordinary user) to quickly add Duo
authentication to any Unix login without setting up secondary user
accounts, directory synchronization, servers, or hardware.
Python-RSA is a pure-Python RSA implementation. It supports encryption and
decryption, signing and verifying signatures, and key generation according to
PKCS#1 version 1.5.
RHash is a console utility and library for computing and verifying hash sums
of files. It supports CRC32, MD4, MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, SHA3, Tiger,
TTH, Torrent BTIH, AICH, ED2K, GOST R 34.11-94, RIPEMD-160, HAS-160, EDON-R
256/512, Whirlpool, and Snefru-128/256 hash sums. Its features are:
* Can calculate Magnet links
* Output in a predefined (SFV, BSD-like) or a user-defined format
* Ability to process directories recursively
* Updating existing hash-files (adding hash sums of files missing in a
hash-file)
* Portable, written in pure C, small in size, open source (MIT license)
Perl wrapper is available as `security/p5-Crypt-RHash' port.
TLS Lite is a free python library that implements SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, and TLS
1.1. TLS Lite supports non-traditional authentication methods such as SRP,
shared keys, and cryptoIDs in addition to X.509 certificates. TLS Lite is pure
Python, however it can access OpenSSL, cryptlib, pycrypto, and GMPY for faster
crypto operations. TLS Lite integrates with httplib, xmlrpclib, poplib,
imaplib, smtplib, SocketServer, asyncore, and Twisted.
The Volatility Framework is a completely open collection of tools, implemented
in Python under the GNU General Public License, for the extraction of digital
artifacts from volatile memory (RAM) samples.
GnuTLS is a secure communications library implementing the SSL, TLS and DTLS
protocols and technologies around them. It provides a simple C language
application programming interface (API) to access the secure communications
protocols as well as APIs to parse and write X.509, PKCS #12, OpenPGP and
other required structures. It is aimed to be portable and efficient with
focus on security and interoperability.
