Free SMB and CIFS client and server for Unix
The Samba suite is a set of programs which run under the FreeBSD operating system. These programs deliver most of the important functionality of a Microsoft Lan Manager server. That is, they support remote access to FreeBSD filespace and FreeBSD printers from Lan Manager compatible clients. In practical terms, this means that such clients can connect to and use FreeBSD filespace as if it was a local disk drive, or FreeBSD printers as if they were local printers. Some of the most popular Lan Manager compatible clients include Lan Manager itself, Windows for Workgroups, OS/2 and Windows NT.

Common components between a munin node and server
Munin network-wide graphing framework (node) Munin is a tool for graphing all sorts of information about one or more servers and displaying it in a web interface. It uses the excellent RRDTool (written by Tobi Oetiker) and is written in Perl. Munin has a master/node architecture. The master connects to all the nodes at regular intervals, and asks them for data. It then stores the data in RRD-files, and (if needed) updates the graphs. One of the main goals have been ease of creating own "plugins" (graphs). This are the common components to drive both the server and the node components of munin.
