Dovecot is an open source IMAP and POP3 email server for Linux/UNIX-like
systems, written with security primarily in mind. Dovecot is an excellent
choice for both small and large installations. It's fast, simple to set up,
requires no special administration and it uses very little memory.
Dovecot is high-performing, self-optimizing, self-healing, and easily
extensible. It includes IMAP4rev1 and POP3 support. IPv6, SSL and TLS are
supported. It supports multiple commonly used IMAP extensions, including SORT,
THREAD and IDLE.
The Samba suite is a set of programs which run under the FreeBSD
operating system. These programs deliver most of the important
functionality of a Microsoft Lan Manager server. That is, they support
remote access to FreeBSD filespace and FreeBSD printers from Lan Manager
compatible clients. In practical terms, this means that such clients can
connect to and use FreeBSD filespace as if it was a local disk drive, or
FreeBSD printers as if they were local printers.
Some of the most popular Lan Manager compatible clients include Lan
Manager itself, Windows for Workgroups, OS/2 and Windows NT.
GNU Zebra is a free software (distributed under GNU Generic Public
License) which manages TCP/IP based routing protocols.
It supports BGP-4 protocol as described in RFC1771 (A Border Gateway
Protocol 4) and RIPv1, RIPv2 and OSPFv2.
Zebra uses multithread technology under multithread supported UNIX
kernels. However it can be run under not-multithread supported
UNIX kernels.
Zebra is intended to be used as a Route Server and a Route Reflector.
Zebra is not a toolkit, it provides full routing power under a new
architecture.
Munin network-wide graphing framework (node)
Munin is a tool for graphing all sorts of information about one or more
servers and displaying it in a web interface. It uses the excellent
RRDTool (written by Tobi Oetiker) and is written in Perl. Munin has a
master/node architecture. The master connects to all the nodes at regular
intervals, and asks them for data. It then stores the data in RRD-files,
and (if needed) updates the graphs. One of the main goals have been ease
of creating own "plugins" (graphs).
This are the common components to drive both the server and the node components
of munin.
Policyd v2
Policyd v2 (codenamed "cluebringer") is a multi-platform policy
server for popular MTAs. This policy daemon is designed mostly
for large scale mail hosting environments.
Vino is a VNC server for GNOME - it allows someone to remotely connect
to your desktop session using the RFB protocol.
Fast & minimal low-level HTTP client.
The serf library is a C-based HTTP client library built upon the
Apache Portable Runtime (APR) library. It multiplexes connections,
running the read/write communication asynchronously. Memory copies
and transformations are kept to a minimum to provide high
performance operation.
Typhoeus runs HTTP requests in parallel while
cleanly encapsulating handling logic.
It's a library for accessing web services in Ruby,
specifically designed for building RESTful service
oriented architectures in Ruby that need to be fast
enough to process calls to multiple services within
the client's HTTP request/response life cycle.
This contrib extension, sphinxcontrib.httpdomain provides a Sphinx domain for
describing RESTful HTTP APIs.
