Libcoverart is a client library for accessing the MusicBrainz cover art archive.

libgig is a C++ library written for accessing Gigasampler files and DLS Level 1 and 2 files, that is for reading and writing of those files. libgig is used by linuxsampler to load Gigasampler files and it can be used by qsampler to retrieve additional informations about Gigasampler files.

Beast is a powerful music composition and modular synthesis application. It supports a wide range of standards in the field, such as MIDI, WAV/AIFF/MP3/OggVorbis/etc audio files and LADSPA modules. It has excellent technical abilities like multitrack editing, unlimited undo/redo support, real-time synthesis support, 32bit audio rendering, full duplex support, multiprocessor support, precise timing down to sample granularity, on demand loading of partial wave files, on the fly decoding and full scriptability in scheme. The plugins, synthesis core and the user interface are actively being developed and translated into a variety of languages, regularly assimilating user feedback such as from our FeatureRequests page.

MAD is a high-quality MPEG audio decoder. It currently supports MPEG-1 as well as the MPEG-2 extension to Lower Sampling Frequencies. All three audio layers (Layer I, Layer II, and Layer III a.k.a. MP3) are fully implemented. MAD does not yet support MPEG-2 multichannel audio (although it should be backward compatible with such streams) or AAC, nor does it support the so-called MPEG 2.5 format. liblscp is a C library written as a wrapper around the LSCP network protocol, thus to control linuxsampler.

libmusicbrainz is a client library for accessing the MusicBrainz database allowing metadata lookup for audio files. This is version 3.x which uses the deprecated XML Web Service Version 1.
