Netgraph node for Mikrotik Ethernet-over-IP tunneling support
Nifmon is a curses-based tool for FreeBSD which can be used to monitor network
interfaces (also tun devices).
It displays continously updated statistics for the following quantities:
- total amount of bytes/packets transferred in/out
- bytes/packets transferred in/out during the last second/minute/hour
- a stripped down tcpdump output
You will need super-user permissions in order to use nifmon.
nload is a console application which monitors network traffic and bandwidth
usage in real time. It visualizes the in- and outgoing traffic using two graphs
and provides additionally info like total amount of transfered data and min/max
network usage.
The NMSG format is an efficient encoding of typed, structured data into
payloads which are packed into containers which can be transmitted over
the network or stored to disk. libnmsg is the reference implementation
of this format and provides an extensible interface for creating and
parsing messages in NMSG format. The NMSG format relies on Google
Protocol Buffers to encode the payload header. Individual NMSG payloads
are distinguished by assigned vendor ID and message type values and
libnmsg provides a modular interface for registering handlers for
specific message types. libnmsg makes it easy to build new message
types using the protobuf-c compiler.
A single-server inetd, similar to Dan Bernstein's tcpserver or
courier-tcpd from Courier-IMAP. This is small, and supports limiting
the number of concurrent connections and refusing further connections
with a configurable message.
ttb is a program to browse Teletekstpages from http://teletekst.nos.nl/
nss-pam-ldapd, a Name Service Switch (NSS) module and
Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) that allows your
LDAP server to provide user account, group, host name,
alias, netgroup, and basically any other information that
you would normally get from /etc flat files or NIS. It also
allows you to do authentication to an LDAP server.
Key differences from nss_ldap:
* lighter NSS library
* lighter PAM library
* simpler internal semantics
* clear separation between NSS, PAM and LDAP code (the server
part could easily be implemented in another language)
* less connections to the LDAP server
OpenBGPD is a FREE implementation of the Border Gateway Protocol, Version 4.
It allows ordinary machines to be used as routers exchanging routes with
other systems speaking the BGP protocol.
ntop is a flexible and feature-rich tool for monitoring and troubleshooting
local area networks. It provides command line and web interfaces, the latter
via an embedded web server. ntop is based on libpcap.
