The Single UNIX Specification Version 3 is a set of
numerous HTML pages describing this standard.
The Single UNIX Specification Version 4, technically identical to IEEE
Std 1003.1, 2013 Edition or The Open Group Base Specifications Issue 7
is a technical standard. It includes IEEE Std 1003.1-2008/Cor 1-2013,
the Technical Corrigendum 1 addressing problems discovered since the
approval of the 2008 edition.
This port permits to install and register the HTML personal copy
that the user must download in .tar.bz2 format by himself.
The GNU Talk Filters are filter programs that convert ordinary English text into
text that mimics a stereotyped or otherwise humorous dialect. Each program reads
from standard input and writes to standard output.
The filters include:
austro, b1ff, brooklyn, chef, cockney, drawl, dubya, fudd, funetak,
jethro, jive, kraut, pansy, pirate, postmodern, redneck, valspeak, and
warez.
GNU Teseq is a tool for translating files that contain control
characters and terminal control sequences, into human-understandable
text. It is intended to aid in debugging problems in terminal
emulators, software that makes use of special terminal features, and
interactions between the two.
Teseq is primarily targeted at individuals who possess a basic
understanding of terminal control sequences, especially CSI sequences;
however, by default Teseq will try to identify and describe the
sequences that it encounters, and the behavior they might produce in a
terminal.
Teseq describes control functions as they are interpreted by
VT100-compatible terminals, and/or terminals compliant with the ECMA-48 /
ISO/IEC 6429 standard. Teseq does _not_ support describing control
functions according to terminal-specific definitions in a database such
as termcap or terminfo, though future versions may include limited
support for that (*note Future Enhancements::). Therefore, the
descriptions Teseq uses for control functions may not necessarily match
their actual interpretation by whatever terminal device the characters
were actually intended for
WMWork helps you to keep track of time you've spent working on several
projects, and is dockable in WindowMaker or AfterStep for your
convenience.
This package contains implementations of UTF-aware wc, fmt,
expand, and unexpand.
Find paths between two keys in the OpenPGP Web of Trust, and get statistics
about a key or the whole web.
Observe:
* We only search the largest strongly connected set.
* No attempt is made to verify the signatures. For you to be able to trust
a path, you must verify all signatures yourself.
* Even if there exists a path between you and another key, you have to
trust the other people in at least one path in the graph to trust the key.
Keys can be specified as normal key IDs (0x12345678 or 12345678), or a number
of space-separated case-insensitive search terms (i.e. "rms@gnu.org" or
"@gnu Stallman").
"xtail" watches the growth of files. It's like running a "tail -f"
on a bunch of files at once.
You can specify both filenames and directories on the command line.
If you specify a directory, it watches all the files in that
directory. It will notice when new files are created (and start
watching them) or when old files are deleted (and stop watching
them).
This program is an oldie but goodie. It was posted to comp.sources.misc
in July 1989 (see ftp.uu.net:/usenet/comp.sources.misc/volume7/xtail.Z).
I remember posting an even earlier version to alt.sources. It has
been published in the O'Reilly & Associates "Unix Power Tools"
collection (book and CD-ROM). Over the years, some fly-by-night
organizations (such as the MIT X Consortium and SGI) have tried to
steal the "xtail" name. Don't be fooled! Insist on the original.
DeVeDe is a program to create video DVDs and CDs (VCD, sVCD or CVD),
suitables for home players, from any number of video files, in any of
the formats supported by Mplayer. The big advantage over other utilites
is that it only needs Mplayer, Mencoder, DVDAuthor, VCDImager and
MKisofs (well, and Python 2.4, PyGTK and PyGlade), so its dependencies
are really small.
dvts (Digital Video Transport System) is a package of DV/RTP.
dvsend: Receive DV/IEEE1394 packets and send RTP/DV packets.
dvrecv: Receive DV/RTP packets and send DV/IEEE1394 packets.
