Lazarus is the class libraries for Free Pascal that emulate Delphi. Free Pascal is a GPL'ed compiler that runs on Linux, Win32, OS/2, 68K and more. Free Pascal is designed to be able to understand and compile Delphi syntax, which is of course OOP. Lazarus is the part of the missing puzzle that will allow you to develop Delphi-like programs in all of the above platforms. Unlike Java which strives to be a write once run anywhere, Lazarus and Free Pascal strives for write once compile anywhere.

This is the development version of nano: nano is a small, free and friendly editor which aims to replace Pico, the default editor included in the non-free Pine package. Rather than just copying Pico's look and feel, nano also implements some missing (or disabled by default) features in Pico, such as "search and replace" and "goto line number".

Pico and Pilot are simple, display-oriented tools. Commands are displayed at the bottom of the screen, and context-sensitive help is provided. In Pico as characters are typed they are immediately inserted into the text. It has three basic features: paragraph justification, searching, and block cut/paste. In Pilot several basic file manipulation commands are provided: Delete, Rename, Copy, View, Launch, and Edit. The "View" and "Edit" commands operate on text files only. The "Edit" command invokes "pico." The "Launch" command provides a convenient way to either execute the selected file or to run an application on it.
