Sphinx 3 is a frontend to the sphinxbase, a large-vocabulary,
speaker-independent, continuous speech recognition engine.
Once the system is built, try running the Perl script sphinx3-demo.
The sphinx3-test script should run sphinx3-batch over an example
utterance of "go forward ten meters."
The Dynamic Playlist plugin is a Squeezebox Server plugin that makes
it easier for other plugins to implement different types of playlists.
It shows all supported playlists below the same menu and has the
advantage that the user doesn't have to know which plugin implements a
specific interface.
terminatorX is a realtime audio synthesizer that allows you to "scratch"
on digitally sampled audio data (*.wav, *.au, *.mp3, etc.) the way
hiphop-DJs scratch on vinyl records.
It features multiple turntables, realtime effects (built-in as well as
LADSPA plugin effects), a sequencer and an easy-to-use gtk+ GUI.
vitunes 是一个类 unix 操作系统上的基于 curses 的播放列表管理器
和媒体播放器,它有着类似 vim 的键绑定。它的主要目标是作为一个多媒体文件的

The xsynth-dssi package contains the Xsynth-DSSI plugin, a
classic-analog (VCOs-VCF-VCA) style software synthesizer with an
editor GUI. Xsynth-DSSI was written by Sean Bolton, and was based
on Steve Brooke's Xsynth code, but has since acquired polyphonic
operation, band-limited oscillators, a better filter mode, and
velocity-sensitive envelopes.
What is Iperf?
While tools to measure network performance, such as ttcp,
exist, most are very old and have confusing options. Iperf
was developed as a modern alternative for measuring TCP
and UDP bandwidth performance.
Iperf is a tool to measure maximum TCP bandwidth, allowing
the tuning of various parameters and UDP characteristics.
Iperf reports bandwidth, delay jitter, datagram loss.
LibMicro is a portable set of microbenchmarks that many Solaris engineers
used during Solaris 10 development to measure the performance of various
system and library calls. LibMicro was developed by Bart Smaalders and
Phil Harman as part of their If another OS is faster it's a Solaris bug
performance campaign.
Siege is an http regression testing and benchmarking utility. It was
designed to let web developers measure the performance of their code
under duress, to see how it will stand up to load on the internet. It
lets the user hit a web server with a configurable number of
concurrent simulated users.
MeshDev is a mesh comparison software. It accepts two meshes as input and
computes the geometrical deviation between the two meshes.
It return numerical values and can optionaly generate visual results (with a
pseudo-colored mesh corresponding to the measured deviation) in OpenInventor
format.
SCEPTRE (System for Circuit Evaluation and Prediction of Transient
Radiation Effects) is a general purpose circuit analysis program which
provides all three major analyses, AC, DC, and transient analysis, on
either linear or nonlinear networks. It employs a free-form input
language and state variable methods to simulate problems of interest
to electrical engineers.
