Jailkit is a set of utilities to limit user accounts to specific files using chroot() and or specific commands. Setting up a chroot shell, a shell limited to some specific command, or daemon inside a chroot jail is a lot easier and can be automated using these utilities.

Hieracles is a command-line tool for analysis and deep examination of Hiera parameters in a Puppet setup. It can be used to quickly visualize, from a local puppet (typically on a developers environment), all the Hiera params related to a specific node.

UDFclient is a userland implementation of the UDF filingsystem as defined by the OSTA group. UDFclient is designed to be a study platform and a run-up to a full read and write kernel level implementation. UDFclient basicly provides a userinterface not unlike ftp(1) but allways fetches files recursively from the disc(s).

HTML::Macro is a module to be used behind a web server (in CGI scripts). It provides a convenient mechanism for generating HTML pages by combining "dynamic" data derived from a database or other computation with HTML templates that represent fixed or "static" content of a page.

Log::Message is a generic message storage mechanism. It allows you to store messages on a stack -- either shared or private -- and assign meta-data to it. Some meta-data will automatically be added for you, like a timestamp and a stack trace, but some can be filled in by the user, like a tag by which to identify it or group it, and a level at which to handle the message (for example, log it, or die with it) Log::Message also provides a powerful way of searching through items by regexes on messages, tags and level.

PADS is a signature based detection engine used to passively detect network assets. It is designed to complement IDS technology by providing context to IDS alerts. Goals: * Passive: Records and identifies traffic seen on a network without actively "scanning" a system. There will never be a packet sent from the pads applications. * Portable: Has the ability to be placed easily on a remote system. Does not require additional external libraries other than those associated with libpcap. * Lightweight: Logging is sent to a simple CSV file. There is no need for a database or other data repository installed on the local machine. All correlation is done outside of the pads program.

libESMTP is a library to manage posting (or submission of) electronic mail using SMTP to a preconfigured Mail Transport Agent (MTA) such as Exim. It may be used as part of a Mail User Agent (MUA) or another program that must be able to post electronic mail but where mail functionality is not the program's primary purpose. libESMTP is not intended to be used as part of a program that implements a Mail Transport Agent. libESMTP is an attempt to provide a robust implementation of the SMTP protocol for use with mail clients. It is being developed as a reaction to the experience of incomplete or buggy implementations of SMTP and also to help remove the need for the installation of MTAs on workstations which only need them to provide a sendmail command for a mail client to post its mail.

Python module implementing LZMA Utils' liblzma API PylibLZMA provides a python interface for the liblzma library to read and write data that has been compressed or can be decompressed by Lasse Collin's LZMA Utils.
