GTS stands for the GNU Triangulated Surface Library. It is an Open Source
Free Software Library intended to provide a set of useful functions to deal
with 3D surfaces meshed with interconnected triangles.
A brief summary of its main features:
- Simple object-oriented structure giving easy access to topological
properties.
- 2D dynamic Delaunay and constrained Delaunay triangulations.
- Robust geometric predicates (orientation, in circle) using fast adaptive
floating point arithmetic.
- Robust set operations on surfaces (union, intersection, difference).
- Surface refinement and coarsening (multiresolution models).
- Dynamic view-independent continuous level-of-detail.
- Preliminary support for view-dependent level-of-detail.
- Bounding-boxes trees and Kd-trees for efficient point location and
collision/intersection detection.
- Graph operations: traversal, graph partitioning.
- Metric operations (area, volume, curvature ...).
- Triangle strips generation for fast rendering.
The IccXML project acts as an extension of SampleICC's IccProfLib
that provides additional I/O capabilities for reading and writing
the ICC profile contents as XML files. Command line tools and an
XML schema are provided.
Command-line utilities for converting bitmage images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, Targa,
BMP, etc.) to and from encapsulated postscript. Special care is taken to
minimize the size of output files without reducing image quality.
Features include a GUI that doesn't get in the way of viewing your
images, a file browser, slideshows, zooming, rotating, on-the-fly Exif
viewing, histograms, fullscreen support, wallpaper setting, the ability
to view 4 images on the screen at once, adjustable thumbnail sizes,
playlists, view and download images from Web sites, movie playing, file
searching/filtering, multiple directory loading, transitional effects,
image hiding and more.
This photo gallery software makes web albums of your digital images.
JAlbum aims to be the easiest to use and most powerful tool in this
category - and free!
JAlbum is written after numerous disappointments with existing photo
gallery software. With JAlbum you have full control of the look of
the generated album, not just color theme and basic layout, still
making an album is just a matter of drag and drop + a button click
if you prefer to use one of the many existing looks. JAlbum will
process your images, make index pages and slide show pages and even
upload the final album to the Internet for your friends to see. No
extra software is needed to view the albums, -just your web browser.
Unlike "server side" album scripts, JAlbum albums can be served
from a plain web server without scripting support. You can also
share your albums on CD-ROM.
JDraw is a pixel oriented graphics editor designed especially for small
to medium-sized pictures used to decorate web pages. It is completely
written in Java, simple to use and saves (animated) GIFs, ICOs and PNGs.
Kudu is a GTK+ and OpenGL powered animation package, which relies
mostly on skeletal animation and has an interface loosely based on
the style of Wings3D.
KLatexFormula is a Qt 4 program to easily get an image from a LaTeX
formula. Just enter a formula, click "Evaluate", then you can
drag & drop or copy the resulting image to another location (an
OpenOffice document, for example) or save it as an image (many
formats are available).
"jpgtn" is based on "tnpic" by Russell Marks and on "gtnpic" by Willie
Daniel. "tnpic" was originally distributed as a utility with Marks' "zgv"
program. "gtnpic" was an attempt to clean up and expand upon the original
tnpic program and "maybe add some new features along the way." Jpgtn
differs from both "tnpic" and "gtnpic" in purpose. It is *not* an indexer
of image files. It simply creates thumbnails of images stored in JPEG
format.
AMIDE is a competely free tool for viewing, analyzing, and registering
volumetric medical imaging data sets. It's been written on top of GTK+, and runs
on any system that supports this toolkit.
