Adds functionality to the python debugger, including support for remote
debugging.
A small utility package that depends on tools too recent for Twisted (like
datetime in python2.4) but performs generic enough functions that it can be
used in projects that don't want to share Divmod's other projects' large
footprint.
Currently included:
* A powerful date/time formatting and import/export class (ExtimeDotTime),
for exchanging date and time information between all Python's various
ways to interpret objects as times or time deltas.
* Tools for managing concurrent asynchronous processes within Twisted.
* A metaclass which helps you define classes with explicit states.
* A featureful Version class.
* A formal system for application of monkey-patches.
This package provides bindings to the generic input event interface in
Linux. The evdev interface serves the purpose of passing events
generated in the kernel directly to userspace through character
devices that are typically located in /dev/input/.
This package also comes with bindings to uinput, the userspace input
subsystem. Uinput allows userspace programs to create and handle input
devices that can inject events directly into the input subsystem.
Python Bindings for libevent
Exam is a Python toolkit for writing better tests. It aims to remove a lot of
the boiler plate testing code one often writes, while still following Python
conventions and adhering to the unit testing interface.
Fabric is a simple pythonic remote deployment tool.
It is designed to upload files to, and run shell commands on, a number
of servers in parallel or serially. These commands are grouped in tasks
(regular python functions) and specified in a 'fabfile.'
This is called remote automation, and the primary use case is deploying
applications to multiple similar hosts.
PyProtocols extends the PEP 246 adapt() function with a new "declaration API"
that lets you easily define your own protocols and adapters, and declare what
adapters should be used to adapt what types, objects, or protocols.
In addition to its own Interface type, PyProtocols can also use Twisted and
Zope's Interface types too.
*Faker* is a Python package that generates fake data for you. Whether
you need to bootstrap your database, create good-looking XML
documents, fill-in your persistence to stress test it, or anonymize
data taken from a production service, Faker is for you.
Faker is heavily inspired by PHP's [Faker][php-faker], Perl's
[Data::Faker][perl-faker], and by ruby's [Faker][ruby-faker].
filemagic provides a Python API for libmagic, the library behind Unix file
command. It enables the Python developer to easilty test for file types from
the extensive identification library that is shipped with libmagic.
Features:
* Simple, Python API
* Identifies named files or strings
* Return a textual description, mime type or mime encoding
* Provide custom magic files to customize file detection
