Pork is a UNIX console-based AIM client mostly fashioned after the
look-and-feel of ircII.
jabber.py is a Python module for the jabber instant messaging protocol.
jabber.py deals with the xml parsing and socket code, leaving the programmer
to concentrate on developing quality jabber based applications with Python.
The eventual aim is to produce a fully featured easy to use library for
creating both jabber clients and servers.
PyXMPP is a Python XMPP (RFC 3920,3921) and Jabber
implementation. It is based on libxml2 -- fast and
fully-featured XML parser.
PyXMPP provides most core features of the XMPP protocol and
several JSF-defined extensions. PyXMPP provides building
blocks for creating Jabber clients and components. Developer
uses them to setup XMPP streams, handle incoming events and
create outgoing stanzas (XMPP "packets").
xmpppy is a Python library that is targeted to provide easy
scripting with Jabber. Similar projects are Twisted Words
and jabber.py.
This library was not designed from scratch. It inherits some
code from jabberpy and have very similar API in many places.
Though it is separate project since it have almost completely
different architecture and primarily aims to work with jabberd2
- the new Open Source Jabber Server.
gloox is a full-featured Jabber/XMPP client without GUI, written
in C++ and implemented as a shared library. It makes writing
spec-compliant clients easy and allows for hassle-free integration
of Jabber/XMPP functionality into existing applications.
bandwidthd tracks usage of TCP/IP network subnets and builds HTML files with
graphs to display network utilization. Charts are built by individual IP. It
color codes HTTP, TCP,UDP, ICMP, VPN, and P2P traffic. Unlike MRTG, it tracks
each individual IP address, not the status of any particular link.
Cacti is a complete frontend to RRDTool, it stores all of the necessary
information to create graphs and populate them with data in a MySQL database.
The frontend is completely PHP driven. Along with being able to maintain
Graphs, Data Sources, and Round Robin Archives in a database, cacti handles
the data gathering. There is also SNMP support for those used to creating
traffic graphs with MRTG.
phpIP Management is a complete IPv4 IPAM (IP address management)
suite, built to handle the complexity of managing today's
IP address space.
phpIP Management was built to scale and address the full
lifecycle of IP address space using techniques that are not
administratively intensive.
Cricket is a high performance, extremely flexible system for monitoring
trends in time-series data. Cricket was expressly developed to help network
managers visualize and understand the traffic on their networks, but it can
be used all kinds of other jobs, as well.
It's similar to mrtg, but has a different approach.
