ipsvd is a set of internet protocol service daemons.
It currently includes a TCP/IP service daemon, and a UDP/IP service daemon.
An internet protocol service (ipsv) daemon waits for incoming connections
on a local socket. On incoming connections, the ipsv daemon conditionally
runs an arbitrary program with standard input reading from the socket, and
standard output writing to the socket, that handles the connection.
Standard error is used for logging.
ipsv daemons can be told to read and follow pre-defined instructions on
how to handle incoming connections. It's possible to run different
programs, or to set a different environment, or to deny a connection, or
to set a per host concurrency limit, depending on the client's address or
hostname.
Normally the ipsv daemons are run by a supervisor process, such as runsv
from the runit package, or supervise from the daemontools package.
ipsvd can be used to run services normally run by inetd, xinetd, or tcpserver.
Herqq UPnP (HUPnP) is a software library for building UPnP devices and control
points conforming to the UPnP Device Architecture version 1.1.
ICMPINFO:
icmpinfo is a tool for looking at the ICMP messages received on
the running host.
The source code comes from an heavily modified BSD ping source.
USAGE:
icmpinfo o Gives info about weird packets only [mainly icmp_unreachable].
icmpinfo -v o Gives info about all ICMP packets [that includes your own
traceroutes...] except pings (icmp_echo_reply).
icmpinfo -vv o To see pings too.
icmpinfo -vvv o Will add an ascci/hexa dump of the packet.
icmpinfo -n o Avoids name queries (faster, lighter).
icmpinfo -p o Avoids port number to service name queries (faster, lighter).
icmpinfo -s o Also decode the ip_src field which is the address of the
interface receiving the packet. This option is not usefull
for hosts with a single network interface.
icmpinfo -l o Run like a daemon (forks) and output to SYSLOG.
(It now checks that you are root for that)
ICPLD (Internet Connection Performance Logging Daemon) is a
daemon which, by sending ICMP requests to an IP address of your
choice, monitors whether your machine has a working network
connection. It will log any failed attempts, and will stamp a
log as soon as a reply is received. It keeps track of when the
connection was unavailable, as well as for how long. It records
both total down time and each occasion of interrupted
connection. The log can also be duplicated in HTML format to
put online.
ifstat is a tool to report network interfaces bandwith just like vmstat/iostat
do for other system counters.
The ifstated daemon runs commands in response to network state
changes, which it determines by monitoring interface link state or
running external tests. For example, it can be used with carp(4) to
change running services or to ensure that carp(4) interfaces stay in
sync, or with pf(4) to test server or link availability and modify
translation or routing rules.
iLBC (internet Low Bitrate Codec)
iLBC is a FREE speech codec suitable for robust voice communication
over IP. The codec is designed for narrow band speech and results
in a payload bit rate of 13.33 kbit/s with an encoding frame length
of 30 ms and 15.20 kbps with an encoding length of 20 ms. The iLBC codec
enables graceful speech quality degradation in the case of lost frames,
which occurs in connection with lost or delayed IP packets.
Features:
* Bitrate 13.33 kbps (399 bits, packetized in 50 bytes) for the frame
size of 30 ms and 15.2 kbps (303 bits, packetized in 38 bytes) for
the frame size of 20 ms
* Basic quality higher then G.729A, high robustness to packet loss
* Computational complexity in a range of G.729A
* Royalty Free Codec
This release includes the 40 gigabit FreeBSD Base Driver for Intel(R) Network
Connection.
ixl driver supports all X710 and XL710-based 40 gigabit network connections.
The ISC Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Distribution provides a
freely redistributable reference implementation of all aspects of the
DHCP protocol, through a suite of DHCP tools:
* A DHCP server
* A DHCP client
* A DHCP relay agent (this port)
IP2Location is a C library that enables the user to find the country, region,
city, latitude, longitude, zip code, time zone, ISP, domain name, connection
type, area code, weather, mobile network, elevation, usage type by IP address
or hostname originates from. It contains a demo IP2Location IP-COUNTRY BIN
database which consists of real data for IP address range 0.0.0.0 to 99.255.
255.255. This database contains IP address blocks as key and countries as
values.
