pydf is all-singing, all-dancing, fully colourised df(1)-clone
written in python.
Rfstool is an mtools-like utility which lets you read from Reiser
file systems.
The home page has instructions on its usage.
File::Stat::ModeString is a Perl5 module provides a few functions for
conversionbetween binary and literal representations of file mode bits,
including file type.
From the safecat README:
safecat is an implementation of D. J. Bernstein's maildir algorithm.
It can be used to write mail messages to a qmail-style maildir, or to
write data to a "spool" directory reliably. There are no lockfiles with
safecat, and nothing is left to chance. If safecat returns a successful
exit status, then you can be (practically) 100% sure your data is
safely committed to disk. Further, if data is written to a directory
using safecat (or other implementations of the maildir algorithm),
then every file in that directory is guaranteed to be complete. If
safecat fails to write all of the data, there will be no file at all
in the destination directory.
Of course, you know that such a thing cannot be: between UNIX and
the different hardware options available, a 100% guarantee is not
possible. However, safecat takes every precaution possible in writing
your data.
File output plugin alternative implementation, is 100% compatible with
fluentd built-in 'out_file', and added many options to format output
as you want.
snap is a tool for the management of UFS2 snapshots created
by mount(8). It can maintain hourly, daily and weekly snap-
shots while trying to minimize the disk space occupied. The
snapshots created are labeled with their creation time, and
users can create them manually.
The major advantage over sysutils/freebsd-snapshot is that
it uses hardlink to save diskspace, mark each snapshot with
its creation time and calculates redundancy in a smart way.
TclSyslog provides an easy to use interface to the Syslog daemon.
Manage locks from shell scripts
The sg3_utils package contains utilities that send SCSI commands to devices.
As well as devices on transports traditionally associated with SCSI (e.g.
Fibre Channel (FCP), Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and the SCSI Parallel
Interface(SPI)) many other devices use SCSI command sets. Its
functions are similar to camcontrol(8), but more powerful. For example,
it can use SCSI Environmental Services not using FreeBSD ses(4),
read SCSI device logs, and much more.

vStrip is a VOB de-multiplexing tool, splitter and some other
functions that work on VOB/IFO files.
vStrip is a small command-line utility for stripping (=removing)
unwanted streams (=data packets) out of VOBs (Video Objects) without
having to reweave the VOB, or extracting the data contained inside
a single stream.
It also parses IFO-files so it (hopefully) doesn't get confused by
multi-angle VOBs.
