An alternative to nss_ldap using an ldap based NIS/YP server.
This is a UNIX daemon providing NIS services with a modular
backend interface. The current focus is the development of
an LDAP module for the backend data source.
This daemon was (and is being written) in order to migrate a
large install base of UNIX systems utilizing NIS to an LDAP
based solution, eventually facilitating a migration of all
corporate services that rely on similar data to LDAP.
This (and future) LDAP related tools are being released under
the BSD License (with advertising clause).

A simple tool to convert packet captures in 802.11 format to Ethernet format.
Lots of tools can only understand Ethernet link types, so I wrote this
tool to convert captures to a format that they can understand.
Note that this tool is really only useful for encrypted traffic.
Specify a wireless packet capture as an input file, and the name of the
desired Ethernet-format output file. Wlan2eth will only convert data frames
to the output file, which will likely result in a significantly smaller output
packet capture file. Note that wlan2eth will only convert unencrypted frames.
The xisp package implements a user-friendly X interface to pppd/chat
and provides maximum feedback from the dial-in and login phases on a
browser screen, as well as a manual login terminal window. It also
provides greater versatility in interrupting a call in progress and in
general enhances the user's feeling of "what's going on", especially
if he/she is not all that well acquainted with the intricacies of
system log files. Xisp also has means to track your phonecosts.
