Wine is a Microsoft Windows compatibility layer (or program loader) capable of running Windows applications on i386 and compatible CPUs. Windows programs running in Wine act as native programs would, running without the performance or memory usage penalties of an emulator, with a similar look and feel to other applications on your desktop. This is a collection of administration scripts. At the moment it consists of a script to control rc.d scripts at runtime, a script that runs common make targets on batches of ports, scripts to set variables for make jobs (like portconf, but with more possibilities). And scripts to check for broken packages and missing libraries.

Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP server. It is designed to provide DNS and, optionally, DHCP, to a small network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the global DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows machines with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in the DNS with names configured either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP/TFTP/PXE for network booting of diskless machines. Dnsmasq is targeted at home networks using NAT and connected to the internet via a modem, cable-modem or ADSL connection but would be a good choice for any smallish network (up to 1000 clients is known to work) where low resource use and ease of configuration are important. -- Simon Kelley

This set of scripts allows to work locally on Subversion-managed projects using the Mercurial distributed version control system. Why use Mercurial? You can do local (disconnected) work, pull the latest changes from the SVN server, manage private branches, submit patches to project maintainers, etc. And of course you have fast local operations like "hg log", "hg annotate"... Three scripts are provided: * hgimportsvn initializes an SVN checkout which is also a Mercurial repository. * hgpullsvn pulls the latest changes from the SVN repository, and updates the Mercurial repository accordingly. It can be run multiple times. * hgpushsvn pushes your local Mercurial commits back to the SVN repository.

Zabbix is an enterprise-class open source distributed monitoring solution. Zabbix is software that monitors numerous parameters of a network and the health and integrity of servers. Zabbix uses a flexible notification mechanism that allows users to configure e-mail based alerts for virtually any event. This allows a fast reaction to server problems. Zabbix offers excellent reporting and data visualisation features based on the stored data. This makes Zabbix ideal for capacity planning.

KTorrent is a BitTorrent client for KDE. The transmission-daemon is a daemon-based Transmission session that can be controlled via RPC by transmission-remote (included) and other Transmission BiTtorrent client such as GTK+ and CLI interface. Transmission has been built from the ground up to be a lightweight, yet powerful BitTorrent client. Its simple, intuitive interface is designed to integrate tightly with whatever computing environment you choose to use. Transmission strikes a balance between providing useful functionality without feature bloat. Furthermore, it is free for anyone to use or modify.

autossh is a program to start a copy of ssh and monitor it, restarting it as necessary should it die or stop passing traffic. The original idea and the mechanism were from rstunnel (Reliable SSH Tunnel). With this version the method changes: autossh uses ssh to construct a loop of ssh forwardings (one from local to remote, one from remote to local), and then sends test data that it expects to get back.
