The Kaa Media Repository is a set of python modules related to media. Kaa modules are based on parts from Freevo and modules created for MeBox. Kaa exists to encourage code sharing between these projects, and to serve as an umbrella for several previously disparate media-related modules in order to make them available from one (unique) namespace. Kaa provides a base module that implements the common features needed for application development, such as mainloop management, timers, signals, callbacks, file descriptor monitors, etc. Kaa's other modules provide specific media-related functionality, such as retrieving metadata on arbitrary media files (kaa.metadata, previously called mmpython), Python wrappers for Imlib2, Xine, and Evas, and many other high level APIs for easily creating applications that deal with video and audio. Kaa is named after the python character in the Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.

tsMuxeR a software utility to create TS and M2TS files for IP broadcasting as well as for viewing at hardware video players (i.e., Dune HD Ultra, Sony Playstation3 and others).

This is a small licq-plugin, which uses libxosd2 to display new arriving messages as OSD (On Screen Display) text on your desktop. Mcabber is a small Jabber console client. Here are some of the features of mcabber: o SSL support. o History logging: If enabled (see the CONFIGURATION FILE section), mcabber can save discussions to history log files. o Commands completion: If possible, mcabber will try to complete your command line if you hit the Tab key. o External actions: Some events (like receiving a message) can trig- ger an external action, for example a shell script (you need to enable it in your configuration file).

A pidgin plugin that allows user to assign global hotkeys (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+g) for togglling buddy list and reading queued message. When "Toggle List" hotkey is enabled, it makes the buddy list hidden from your taskbar and task switcher (similar to ICQ).

pidgin-osd is a pidgin plugin which provides on screen displaying a new one messages from one of your contacts or other notification messages.

twitmail is a curses-based mail-like interface to twitter. It also can be used as a command line app for sending and receiving tweets. In both modes it remembers the last thing you read and only shows you newer posts (ie, it reports nothing when you have no updates to read). It'll collect all the new posts as well (up to a configurable limit), to ensure you haven't missed anything important.
