cinc is a program that emulates the Bell Laboratories cardiac computer
(from here on referred to as cardiac). cardiac stands for cardboard
illustrative aid to computation.
casm is an assembler for the cinc emulator. casm reads a casm source program
and translates it to a cinc loadable program that can be executed with the
cinc emulator.
cinc allows you to run cardiac programs on a real computer. The real
cardiac allows the student to learn how computers work internally.

Title: CPM
Description:
Cpm lets UNIX users read and write standard cp/m 8" floppy disks and
provides a cp/m like user interface for manipulating cp/m files.
History:
The program has been developed in 1983. Helge was kind enough to change
the original copyright to a BSD-like one, so i've been able to port the
program to FreeBSD and distribute it freely.
Ported & maintained by: J"org Wunsch <joerg@FreeBSD.org>, 1994
Frequently asked question:
No, FreeBSD's floppy-disk driver does not (yet) understand FM diskettes.
This port allows to access CP/M file systems similar to the well-known mtools
package, which accesses MSDOS file systems. It contains the followin set of
tools:
* cpmls - list sorted directory with output similar to ls, DIR, P2DOS DIR
and CP/M3 DIR[FULL]
* cpmcp - copy files from and to CP/M file systems
* cpmrm - erase files from CP/M file systems
* cpmchmod - change file permissions
* cpmchattr - change file attributes
* mkfs.cpm - make a CP/M file system
* fsck.cpm - check and repair a CP/M file system (only simple errors can
be repaired so far). Some images of broken file systems are provided.
* fsed.cpm - view CP/M file system
* manual pages for everything including the CP/M file system format
All CP/M file system features are supported. Password protection is ignored,
but a pseudo file [passwd] contains them decrypted.
