RawTherapee is a powerful RAW image processing appliction. It features:
High Image Quality
- Various demosaicing algorithms: AMaZE, DCB, fast, AHD, EAHD, HPHD & VNG4.
- Advanced color handling, including color management.
- Enhanced exposure and tonality tools
- Multiple denoising methods and several tools to enhance details.
Efficiency
- Multi-threaded algorithms for high performance
- Batch processing: convert all the developed images at once without not
loading the processor while you work.
- Basic tools immediately at your hands.
- Parallel editing of multiple images.
- An optional secondary display can be used.
Versatility
- Wide variety of supported cameras
- Advanced control over the algorithms with many fine-tuning parameters.
- Command line usage besides the normal graphical interface.
- Various layouts: single/multiple/vertical tab, with/without filmstrip.
This is a GLX port of the Really Slick Screensavers collection
(http://www.reallyslick.com/). Also included are several other OpenGL
screensavers ported from other platforms.
The screensavers can either be run as stand-alone applications or get
integrated into XScreenSaver's list of active screensavers.
Recoverjpeg tries to recover JFIF (JPEG) pictures from a peripheral. This may
be useful if you mistakenly overwrite a partition or if a device such as a
digital camera memory card is bogus.
RenRot is utility written in Perl, aiming to carry out different processing
tasks upon the image files (especially those containing EXIF data).
RenRot renames files according to the flexible name template (allowing the
DateTimeOriginal and FileModifyDate EXIF tags, if they exist, otherwise, the
name will be set according to the current time stamp). Furthermore, RenRot
can aggregate files according to the shooting time period.
Additionally, it can losslessly rotate JPEGs and their thumbnails, based on
the Orientation EXIF tag, or a given angle.
The script can also put commentary into the Commentary and UserComment tags.
Personal details can be specified via XMP tags defined in a configuration
file.
These utilities display several types of images under X11, or load images
onto the X11 root window.
A variety of options are available to modify images prior to viewing. These
options include clipping, dithering, depth reduction, zoom (either X or Y
axis independently or both at once), brightening or darkening, input gamma
correction, and image merging. When applicable, these options are applied
automatically (e.g. a color image to be displayed on a monochrome screen
will be dithered automatically). An utility (xlito) is provided that allows
these viewing options to be appended to the image files.
rgbPaint is a very basic GTK+2.6 (or later) based program designed for
editing pixel based images. It is a fork of mtPaint 3.09. It can only
edit and save RGB images to PNG, JPEG, or ICO files. It can read PNG,
JPEG, TIFF, GIF, ICO, files and possibly others like TGA, PCX, and SVGi
if they are installed with your version of GTK+2.
Caelum is a plug-in/library for Ogre targeted to help create
nice-looking (photorealistic if possible) atmospheric effects such as
sky colour, clouds and weather phenomena such as rain or snow.
The PagedGeometry engine is an add-on to Ogre which provides highly
optimized methods for rendering massive amounts of small meshes,
covering a possibly infinite area. This is especially well suited for
dense forests and outdoor scenes, with millions of trees, bushes,
grass, rocks, etc.
Ristretto is a fast and lightweight picture-viewer for the
Xfce desktop environment.
Ruby/GD is an extension library to use Thomas Boutell's gd library
(http://www.boutell.com/gd/) from Ruby.
