Volume Icon aims to be a lightweight volume control that sits in your systray.
It is often used in conjuction with the lightweight tint2 panel/taskbar.
Features
- Change volume by scrolling on the systray icon
- Ability to choose which channel to control
- Several icon themes (with gtk theme as default)
- Configurable external mixer
- Volume Slider
- Hotkey support
Dhrystone is a synthetic computing benchmark program developed in 1984
by Reinhold P. Weicker intended to be representative of system (integer)
programming. The Dhrystone grew to become representative of general
processor (CPU) performance.
DMIPS value is result of dhrystone test divided by 1757, results are often
reported in DMIPS/MHz. For more information, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhrystone.
This program is a much more convient version of the ttcp program.
It uses inetd (or simulates its behaviour) to start off the remote
side program which will send/receive data. Both sides measure the time
and number of bytes transfered. The local side will print the measures.
The format of the output can be specified on the commandline.
The octave-forge package is the result of The GNU Octave Repositry project,
which is intended to be a central location for custom scripts, functions and
extensions for GNU Octave. contains the source for all the functions plus
build and install scripts.
This is benchmark.
The package contains code used to benchmark speed of Octave.
Phylogenetic Analysis by Maximum Likelihood (PAML)
PAML is a package of programs for phylogenetic analyses of DNA or protein
sequences using maximum likelihood. It is not good for tree making. It may be
used to estimate parameters and test hypotheses for the study the evolutionary
process using trees reconstructed with programs such as PAUP*, PHYLIP, MOLPHY,
PhyML, or RaxML.
PHYLIP (the PHYLogeny Inference Package) is a package of programs for
inferring phylogenies (evolutionary trees). Methods that are available
in the package include parsimony, distance matrix, and likelihood
methods, including bootstrapping and consensus trees. Data types that
can be handled include molecular sequences, gene frequencies,
restriction sites, distance matrices, and 0/1 discrete characters.
SeaView is a multiple sequence alignment editor.
You can align DNA/protein sequences from several organisms, and find
out their relative postions in phylogenic tree.
Once SeaView is installed, you can open the on-line help window through
the 'Help' button to learn how to use SeaView.
Example mase files can be found at:

This port installs four Chinese Big5/GB TrueType fonts, includes
Kaiti/Mingti(Big5) and Kaiti/Sungti(GB). It then can be used along
with X Window System or typesetting software like CJK. Thanks to
Arphic Technology, you may freely distribute these high-quality
fonts under a GPL-based license. See ARPHIC_*.TXT for details.
Noted that the Chinese new year does not coincide with the Gregorian
new year, so the determination of what year it is in the Chinese
calendar is only going to be correct for a portion of the Gregorian
year. This module is API for calculating dates for Chinese calendar.
TTF2PT1 is a modification of Andrew Weeks TTF2PFA True Type to Postscript
Type 3 converter. Which will convert Most True Type Fonts to and Adobe
Type 1 .pfa file. The files produced are in human readable form, which
further needs to be encrypted with the t1utilities, to work with most
software requiring type 1 fonts.
