Spamilter is a Sendmail milter written entierly in C, and therefore
is faster and less cpu intensive than other interperative based solutions.
It blocks spam using the following methods;
* Configurable Realtime DNS Blacklists
* Sender Address verification
* Configurable Black and White lists
* Invalid MTA hostname verfication
* Basic Virus/Worm file attachment rejection for files ending
in .pif, .scr, etc.. via MsExtChk filter
* SPF via libspf
* Realtime firewall blocking of MTA hosts with invalid host names via
MtaHostIpfw filter
* Realtime rate limited connection blocking via firewall rule injection
All actions are logged via syslog with both the sender and the recipient.
From this, report generation and notification to recipients showing
activity becomes extremely simple.

SpamOracle, a.k.a. "Saint Peter", is a tool to help detect and
filter away "spam" (unsolicited commercial e-mail). It proceeds
by statistical analysis of the words that appear in the e-mail,
comparing the frequencies of words with those found in a user-provided
corpus of known spam and known legitimate e-mail. The classification
algorithm is based on Bayes' formula, and is described in Paul
Graham's paper, A plan for spam.
This program is designed to work in conjunction with procmail. The
result of the analysis is output as an additional message header
X-Spam:, followed by yes, no or unknown, plus additional details.
A procmail rule can then test this X-Spam: header and deliver the
e-mail to the appropriate mailbox.
A script that generates statistics about spam you receive at your site.
The script parses maillog file, generated by exim/postfix/sendmail and spamd.
The script will currently not work with other mailers than exim, postfix or
sendmail (contributions will be welcome) or if you do not use spamd.
A secure, effective and simple way of getting mail off a system to
your mail hub. It does not include a mail spool to poke around in,
and no daemons running in the background. Mail is simply forwarded
to the configured mailhost. Extremely easy configuration.
WARNING: the above is all it does; it does not receive mail, expand
aliases or manage a queue. That belongs on a mail hub with a system
administrator.
Program to test MTA configurations.
This program is a filter which shall improve the readability for messages
(emails and posts) by *hiding* some annoying parts, including:
- mailing list footers
- excessive quoting
- overlong signatures
- Outlook-style "TOFU" (text above - full quote below)
- squeeze sequences of blank lines or punctuation
Its primary mode of operation is a display filter in MUA (it has special
support for Mutt), but it can also be used in MTA/MDA - e.g. for immediately
bouncing "improper" messages.
Horde Groupware Webmail Edition is a free, enterprise ready, browser based

libESMTP is a library to manage posting (or submission of) electronic
mail using SMTP to a preconfigured Mail Transport Agent (MTA) such as
Exim. It may be used as part of a Mail User Agent (MUA) or another
program that must be able to post electronic mail but where mail
functionality is not the program's primary purpose. libESMTP is not
intended to be used as part of a program that implements a Mail
Transport Agent.
libESMTP is an attempt to provide a robust implementation of the SMTP
protocol for use with mail clients. It is being developed as a reaction
to the experience of incomplete or buggy implementations of SMTP and
also to help remove the need for the installation of MTAs on
workstations which only need them to provide a sendmail command for a
mail client to post its mail.
usendmail is a replacement for the sendmail clone of the qmail package.
It accepts more of the original sendmail's commandline options and does
not depend on environment variables to set the envelope sender.
This dockapp monitors your incoming mail in 1 or more mailboxes in mbox
format.
