GNUstep is a set of general-purpose Objective-C libraries based on the
OpenStep standard developed by NeXT (now Apple) Inc. The libraries
consist of everything from foundation classes, such as dictionaries and
arrays, to GUI interface classes such as windows, sliders, buttons, etc.
Please contact the GNUstep maintainers at <discussion@gnustep.org> in
case of questions and help offers.

BMPanel (bitmap panel) is nice, lightweight, NetWM-compatible panel for your
X11 desktop. It currently features:
- Look'n'feel customization via themes (20 of them included)
- A bunch of widgets: desktop switcher, taskbar, launchbar, systray,
clock, decor, empty (unofficial temperature widget also available)
- Pseudo (default) and compositing (optional) transparency support
- Written in C with speed and clarity in mind
- Small number of dependencies, briefly: glib2, cairo, pango, libX11
- Small memory footprint (about 2-4 megabytes)
- Small executable (80 kilobytes at the moment)
Jaymod is an add-on modification to RTCW: Enemy Territory.
The idea for Jaymod came from the main features of Shrubmod. Shrubmod has
long been out of date and unsupported, and with the instability issues that
come with Shrubmod, something had to be done to get a Shrub-like server-side
mod that would provide most of Shrub's features, be stable, and be supported.
This mod has, obviously, outgrown the original objective of being server-side
only. Some of the ideas I wanted to implement could not be done with server
code only, so the decision was made to start working on the client end as
well. I wanted this to be as easy as possible for end users, and now only one
pak needs to be downloaded (on the fly) to be able to play this mod.

Cego is a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Cego
supports transactional SQL query requests in a multithreaded
architecture. For high availability requirements, Cego supports a
database shadowing feature. Several compute nodes can be defined in
a Cego database configuration, where each node is able to manage a
number of so called table sets. For each tableset, a backup node
can be defined, which runs is recover mode for the corresponding
tableset. If required, the tableset can be switched to the backup
node and this node gets the active node for the tableset.

Starlink::AST provides a perl wrapper to the Starlink AST library.
The Starlink AST library provides facilities for transforming coordinates
from one system to another in an object oriented manner. Multiple
coordinate frames can be associated with a data set and it is also
possible to generate automatic mappings between frames.
Coordinate frame objects can be imported from FITS headers and from
NDF files.
BasicDSP is an educational tool that makes it easy to experiment with simple
Digital Signal Processing algorithms for audio signals. The input can either
be taken from the sound card, or be a locally generated sine wave, white noise
or impulse signal. The output is fed to the sound card, as well as to a virtual
oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer.
This program is a Gtk+/Gtkmm front end for the efax program for receiving and
sending faxes with a fax modem. Any files to be faxed must be in postscript
format, which is the generic printer format for Unix/Linux systems. The
program will use ghostscript to convert these into the Group 3 fax format which
the fax modem will understand.
This module allows use of the CQL3 interface of a Cassandra
database. It fully supports asynchronous operation via IO::Async,
allowing both direct queries and prepared statements to be managed
concurrently, if required. Alternatively, as the interface is entirely
based on Future objects, it can be operated synchronously in a
blocking fashion by simply awaiting each individual operation by
calling the get method.
Jobs is a job scheduler for load regulation of Erlang applications.
It provides a queueing framework where each queue can be configured
for throughput rate, credit pool and feedback compensation. Queues
can be added and modified at runtime, and customizable "samplers"
propagate load status across all nodes in the system.
