YOURLS is a small set of PHP scripts that will allow you
to run your own URL shortening service (a la TinyURL).
You can make it private or public, you can pick custom
keyword URLs, it comes with its own API.
Adjustable Clock is a KDE 4 plasma applet that displays the date and time in a
highly configurable manner.
Features include:
- Fully customizable date format
- Format can be adjusted with rich text editor or source editor (HTML and CSS)
- Context menu with actions to copy formatted date and time to clipboard
- Option to set time difference to time from data engine
- Adjustable tool tip
wmfuzzy is a fuzzy clock Windowmaker dock applet (but also runs well
under *boxen and many other windowmanagers).
A fuzzy clock gives an approximate time, under the supposition that
it's more useful to know that it's about Half Past Three than that
it's 3:27. The granularity of the approximation can be set via
commandline switches.
Wmtimer is a dockable alarm clock for WindowMaker which can be run
in alarm, countdown timer, or chronograph mode. In alarm or timer
mode, you can either execute a command or sound the system bell
when the time is reached. Wmtimer is configurable through the
command line or the GTK GUI.
ROX-Session is a simple session manager.
It loads, runs any programs you asked it to, and then quits when you run it
a second time (thus ending your session). It does not display any windows
until you ask it to quit.
This utility runs "du" to scan directories of your choosing, then displays a
graph which emphasizes the subdirectories where the largest files are kept, and
optionally lists the files themselves. You can descend into the directory
tree, or back out, by clicking on the graph. If you save the output of "du" in
a file, xdiskusage can analyze that too. PostScript output is available.
A "contemporary" slab serif typeface for text, especially designed for
comfortably reading on any computer or device. The robust design started from
the austerity of the pixel grid, based on rational rather than emotional
principles. It combines the large x-heights and legibility of the humanistic
tradition with subtle characteristics in the characters that inject a certain
rhythm to flowing texts.
Font Manager is not intended to be a professional-grade font management
solution, but rather a simple application suitable for the needs of most
desktop users.
Although designed with the GNOME desktop environment in mind, it should
work well with most major desktop environments such as Xfce, Enlightenment,
and even KDE.
gbdfed is a GTK-based BDF font editor. It can import:
- Metafont PK/GF fonts
- Han Bitmap Font Format (HBF) fonts
- Linux console (PSF, CP, and EGA/VGA) fonts
- Sun VF fonts, OpenType (OTF & TTF) fonts
Alternatively it can load a font from the X server. Export is
supported to PSF2 Linux console fonts and HEX fonts.
Hanazono Mincho typeface is a CJK TrueType font that developed with a
support of Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results
from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and the International
Research Institute for Zen Buddhism (IRIZ), Hanazono University. also
with volunteers who work together on glyphwiki.org.
