Knews is a threaded newsreader with an X Window interface that uses NNTP to get news. Threads are displayed in a graphical tree. Leafnode v1.11 is a simple, IPv6 enabled NNTP server and client designed for small sites. (Think store & forward proxy if you like.) It "learns" which newsgroups should be downloaded based on what's accessed. Use it to enable online newsreaders to offline reading or to reduce your external bandwidth if you have several users accessing Usenet news.

nget is a command line NNTP file grabber. It automatically pieces together multipart postings for easy retrieval, even substituting parts from multiple servers. It handles disconnects gracefully, resuming after the last part successfully downloaded, and caching of header data for quick access.

CUPS backend for the canon proprietary USB over IP network printing protocol, BJNP. This backend is based on reverse engineering using TCP/IP. It can be used with CUPS 1.2 - 1.7 (verified). This backend allows Cups to connect over the network to a Canon printers

GtkLP for CUPS is a frontend for the lpr that comes with CUPS. It is written to make it easy to use nearly all the options from CUPS without knowing them by name. For print-admins, there is also an pretty simple queue tool implemented.

hscolour is a small Haskell script to colourise Haskell code. It currently has six output formats: ANSI terminal codes (optionally XTerm-256colour codes), HTML 3.2 with font tags, HTML 4.01 with CSS, HTML 4.01 with CSS and mouseover annotations, XHTML 1.0 with inline CSS styling, LaTeX, and mIRC chat codes.

IJS is a relatively new initiative to improve the quality and ease of use of inkjet printing with Ghostscript. Using IJS, you can add new drivers, or upgrade existing ones, without recompiling Ghostscript. All driver authors are encouraged to adapt their drivers for IJS, and if there is an IJS driver available for your printer, it should be your first choice.

Previous versions of this module attempted to provide a Perl interface layer similar to the C interface of CUPS. This was fine for power users, but most people were not looking for this type of interface. This module has now been converted to use an object oriented paradigm to facilitate quicker development and ease of use.

In summary, this module provides a strong base for working with PDF files but lacks some finesse. Users should know their way around the PDF specification. Included in the examples directory are some example programs starting from very simple PDF creation programs and working up. More extensive samples are included as scripts.

The Apache PDFBox library is an open source Java tool for working with PDF documents. This project allows creation of new PDF documents, manipulation of existing documents and the ability to extract content from documents. Apache PDFBox also includes several command line utilities.
